Unit 1 Nice to meet you.
1.Chinese的用法
〔1〕作为名词,意为“中国人;汉语〞。
①指“中国人〞时,为可数名词,单复数形式相同,都是Chinese。
Look!There are two Chinese in the crowd.
看!人群中有两个中国人。
②指“汉语〞时,为不可数名词。
Tony lives in China now and he can speak Chinese well.
汤姆现在生活在中国,他的汉语说的非常好。
〔2〕作为形容词,意为“中国的,中国人的〞
The young man is a Chinese student.
那个年轻人是一个中国学生。
(3)China为专有名词,意为“中国〞。
注意,其首字母c要大写。
小写了c字母的china,为“瓷器〞的意思。
The woman is from China and she’s Chinese.
那位女士来自于中国,她是中国人。

2.be/come from的用法
意为“来自于〞。
They are/come from England.他们来自于英国。
3.Nice to meet you的用法
意为“见到你〔们〕很快乐〞。
是见面时表示欢迎的常用语,其中形容词nice可以用glad,pleased来进行替换。
翻译:见到你们很快乐。
Nice to meet you.
=Glad to meet you.
=Pleased to meet you.
4.What/How about...?的用法
意为“……怎么样?〞常用来询问他人的情况、提出建议等。
其中,about是介词,其后接名词、动名词、代词宾格等。
What about taking a walk after dinner?〔用于提出建议〕
晚饭后散步怎么样?
I’m in Class 1,Grade 7.What about you?
我在七年级一班,你呢?〔用来询问他人的情况〕
5.welcome的用法
意为“欢迎〔迎接某人到某地时的用语〕;受欢迎的〞,常用于以下表达中:
〔1〕welcome to sp. 意为“欢迎来某地〞,当welcome后跟表示地点的副词,home,here,there等时,其后的介词to要省略。
Welcome back to school,everyone!
同学们,欢迎返校。
Welcome here.
欢迎到这来。
〔2〕You’re welcome.意为“不用客气〞,用来对他人的感谢进行答复。
---Thank you very much.非常感谢。
---You’re welcome.不用客气。
