教学过程:
Step 1 1. Warm-up/ Revision
1.T alk about different topics with students such as: hobbies, subjects trips….
2.L et the Ss to judge which is impolite or polite sentence so that they can understand the article about 2b.
Step 2 Practice
In order to let the student take part in the class well, let the students make their own small talk in different places.
Step 3 Practice
Tell the students: they have known about the small talk in some ways . Do they want to know more about small talk, Let the Ss look at
their books about 2b :firrst let the students go through the article for a minute, then answer the question.
1. Match each paragraph with a heading.
2. What kind of articles does it belong to?
3. How to read it?
Next,ask the student to read the paragraph 1 carefully ,finish the following question
1、What is the small talk?
2、Where do people often make small talk?
3、How does small talk make other
people feel?
If the student have no questions Let the students read paragraph 2 carefully and finish the following questions
1、What kind of people use small talk in their jobs?
2、Is small talk common for some people to communicate?
Read the other pragraphs like the steps above (see the contents in the courseware)Step4 check the result
After learning the article, check the students if they have mastered the article ; do the exercises about choice and judge
Step 5 Watch and think
Ask the students if they have problerns about the article ,if they don‘t have ,Let the students finish “watch and think” on the courseware Step 6 Extension
In order to consolidate the knowledge about the article. Let the Ss make the small talk as different persons from different countries
Step 7 Emotion education
Let the Ss think about what they realized after learning the article

Let the students summarize what they have learned in this lesson.

Let the students finish the exercise on
