We all know that exercise is good for your health. But some kinds of exercise may be better than others. Running, for example, may help to protect against heart disease and other health problems. Running
may also help you live longer.
Recently, researchers studied more than 55,000 adults. About a quarter of the adults have a good habit of running. The study found these runners were much healthier than non-runners. In fact, the runners lived, on average(平均), three years longer than the non-runners.
Running may be good exercise, but it can be difficult on the body. Here are commonly shared ideas among fitness experts(健身专家) to lower the risk of injury(受伤) for people who are new to running.
⊙Take it easy.
Do not run too much, too soon or too fast. Most people get running injuries when they push themselves too hard. The body needs time to get used to increases in distance(里程) or speed.
⊙ Get good running shoes.
There is no single best shoe for every runner. You should find the shoe that offers the best fit and support for your feet. More importantly, you should have a new pair of shoes every 500 to 800 kilometers.
⊙Take good notes.
Take time after each run to write down notes about what you did and how you felt. Look for things that happen again and again. For example, you may find that your knees hurt when you run sometimes. But perhaps you feel great when you have a rest between running days. These notes will help you make the best plan for running.
(1)The writer wants to tell us in the first paragraph ____________.
A . good health comes from running
B . running is the best exercise
C . health problem can be solved by good exercise
D . not all exercise is equally(同样的) good
(2)In the second paragraph, we know ____________.
A . three quarters of 55,000 adults were new to running
B . the number of non-runners was getting smaller
C . a good habit of running may help you live longer
D . the hope to live three years longer drives people to exercise
(3)You take notes in order to ____________.
A . remind you of where to have new shoes
B . help you find the way of running that fits you
C . take a rest between running days
D . help you do some research on exercise
(4)The purpose of the passage is to ____________.
A . provide information for the researchers to work better
B . warn the non-runners of the dangers in running
C . help runners to exercise in a scientific way
D . encourage as many people as possible to join in running

Though you are a teenager now, there will finally come a time when you start to earn(赚) money. While it may be fun to have your own money to spend,it can also be difficult trying to manage it properly. Here are some tips on how to manage your money.
Use your money wisely
Most teenagers earn money for everyday use,or because they are saving up for something. So when they receive their money, they must first decide what they want to do with it.However, try to avoid the temptation (诱惑) to spend it all in one go (一口气)!Remember:Money takes a long time to earn, but it goes very quickly.
Bank your savings
The money you don't need can be saved at home or in a bank.If you want to save your money at home, get yourself a piggy bank or something else to keep your money in.The other choice is to save your money in a bank. One of the advantages is that you can earn interest (利息) on it.
Use the money to make money
Rather than saving your money at home or in a bank, you can use the money you earn to invest (投资) in things to make more money. For example,if you are selling something around your neighborhood, you could pay someone else to sell your things in their neighborhood. This way,by spending a little, you can make a lot.

19. (10分) Like many people, I have no clear idea about heroes. At some point, we all wonder if we need a hero and what a hero really is.
Although there are a lot of differences in cultures, heroes around the world generally share a number of characteristics (特点) which give us courage and make us want to learn from them.
A hero does something worth talking about. A hero has a special story to tell and people think highly of it. But a hero is not just the person with great fame (声誉) .
A hero has powers (力量) larger than himself. Some people want to live like a hero, and they have to experience life with new and further meaning. A sure test for would-be heroes is what or whom they serve. What do they want to live and die for? If the answer suggests they serve only their own fame, they may be famous persons but not heroes.
A hero has a vision from the mountaintop. He has the power to move people. He creates new possibilities. Without Gandhi, India might still be part of Britain. Without Martin Luther King, Jr., Americans might take different buses, eat in different restaurants, go for walks in different parks, and shop in different stores because of the different colors of their skin.
There might be changes in society without a hero, but the speed of change would be rather slow. Thanks to heroes in history, they make the society develop so rapidly.

A . gives us courage
B . thinks highly of others

A . 风景
B . 想象
C . 远见
D . 形象
(4)Black people in America used to __________ before Martin Luther King, Jr.
A . shop at the white's stores
B . drive buses with the white
C . take walks in the white's parks
D . eat in restaurants without the white

A . We don't need heroes anymore at some point now.
B . Heroes are all the same though different in cultures.
C . People get power from heroes to move to a new place.
D . Our society has developed faster because of heroes in history.

Imagine this. Somebody hides free books in the subway for you to find and read. Sound exciting? Well, British actress Emma Watson, 26, is doing it! She is known for acting as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies.
Watson hid 100 copies of a book called Mom & Me & Mom (2013) in London's subway. The book is an autobiography(自传)from US writer Maya Angelou. It tells about the writer's relationship with her mother. These books were put in different places in the subway. People saw Watson doing the same thing in the New York Subway this month.
With each book, there is a handwritten note by Watson. She asked people to "take special care" of the books if they find them. She also wrote that "when you are finished, please leave it on the subway again for someone else to find".
Watson's work is part of a movement called Books on the Underground. It calls on people to leave their books on the subway so other people can enjoy them too.
Hollie Belton, a woman in London, started the movement in 2012. She loves reading on the subway. She noticed that a lot of people shared her habit, so she got the idea. Over the years, Belton has left over 2,000 books of her own. The movement has attracted more and more people.
