Unit 1: School Life
1.classroom - a room in a school where lessons take place
2.desk - a piece of furniture with a flat or sloping surface and typically with drawers, at which one can read, write, or do other work
3.blackboard - a large board painted black, especially one used with chalk to write or draw in a classroom
4.notebook - a book with blank, ruled, or squared pages for writing notes
5.pen - a writing instrument that uses ink to leave a mark on paper
6.backpack - a bag with shoulder straps that allow it to be carried on one’s back, typically made of a strong, waterproof material
7.pencil - a long, thin cylindrical instrument used for writing or drawing, with a sharp point at one end and an eraser at the other end
8.eraser - a small block of rubber or other material used to erase pencil or chalk marks
9.ruler - a straight strip or cylinder of a rigid material, marked at regular intervals and used to measure things or to draw straight lines or curves

5.pizza - a dish of Italian origin, consisting of a base of dough topped with tomatoes, cheese, and various other ingredients, baked until crisp
6.pasta - Italian cuisine dish typically made from an unleavened dough of wheat flour mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or other shapes
7.rice - the starchy seeds of an Asian cereal grass that are cultivated in warm climates and used for food
8.bread - food made of flour, water, and yeast mixed together and baked
k - an opaque white fluid rich in fat and protein, secreted by female mammals for the nourishment of their young
10.juice - a drink made from the extraction or pressing
of the natural liquid contained in fruit or vegetables
