Warm-up (10 minutes):
- Begin the lesson by singing a song related to the underwater
world, such as "Under the Sea" from The Little Mermaid.
- Ask students to share what they already know about the ocean and its inhabitants.
- Introduce basic vocabulary related to the underwater world, such as fish, shark, jellyfish, and sea turtle. Show flashcards or pictures and repeat the words several times.
Presentation (15 minutes):
- Show a video or a book with pictures of different sea creatures to introduce more vocabulary, such as dolphin, octopus, crab, and starfish.
- Model and practice basic questions and answers such as "What is it?" and "It is a shark."
- Use a worksheet or a coloring page to allow students to practice writing or drawing the sea creatures they have learned.
Practice (15 minutes):
- Play a game of "What am I?" where a student describes a sea creature and other students guess what it is.
- Set up a "diving station" where students can pretend to be aquatic animals, such as by swimming like a fish or crawling like a crab.
Extension activity (5 minutes):
- Have students make their own sea creatures out of clay, paper, or other materials.
