Water Testing Laboratory 实验室
The laboratory shall be sized, and have facilities and equipment necessary to perform, operational and distribution testing in accordance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements and state-of-the-industry practice. Operational testing shall include the performance of tests, in accordance with Standard Methods procedures, necessary for controlling day-to-operations so that the plant will be in conformance with performance requirements. Operational testing includes all testing required to determine conformance except heavy metal or trace element testing. Distribution testing shall include laboratory testing of samples from the distribution networks, in accordance with GOL requirements and Standard Methods procedures, necessary for determining that water delivered to the taps meets the applicable codes and standards.
实验室应当具有必要的设备与分析仪器来按照有关标准与业界惯例进行运行测试（Operational testing）与分布测试（Distribution testing）。

运行测试包括效果测试，效果测试应当满足标准方法程序（Standard Methods procedures），以满足水厂每日的控制设置，保证水处理结果符合标准。

运行测试包括所有的此类测试，但不包括重金属与微量元素测试。

分布测试应当包括从配水网络中提取样本的实验室测试，测试应当满足标准方法程序与莱索托政府的有关规定，该测试用来确定处理后的自来水水质是否达到要求。

Sufficient room, partitioning and facilities shall be provided for:

Laboratory tests performed in dedicated areas such as biological and chemical,
with appropriate counter space, under-counter and above-counter cabinetry and
fume hoods

Sample reception and storage, including for 150 distribution samples per day.

The water testing laboratory design shall be in accordance with BS3202 and ISO standards.
All laboratory equipment and furnishings shall be of the highest quality for the service intended, state-of-the-industry, complete for the tests and uses to be performed, and in conformance with applicable codes and standards. The laboratory shall be supplied complete and ready for use. Sufficient supplies and reagents shall be provided for five years of testing.

Analytical equipment and laboratory facilities shall be provided with consideration given to:
source water quality and its variability;
treatment processes - their complexity, adjustment opportunity and performance assessment;
operating personnel capability;
optional analytical availability; and
acquisition of reagents and equipment parts.

Appropriate forms shall be devised for maintenance of water treatment records for water usage, process operations and analytical test data. The works shall be provided with automatic measurement of raw water inflow and treated water outflow with cumulative flow totalisers.

Allowance shall be made in the design for appropriate numbers and locations of workstations that shall include as a minimum hose bibs, air tool connections, power outlet sockets and welding receptacles
