【摘要】The disadvantages of traditional streaming media website based on Windows Media and Real Media are the incapable cross platform, low security, high cost, etc. A solution to the above disadvantages is provided by designing and implementing for streaming media website based on Applet and JMF. In it the latest version of Java exploitation and Tomcat publication platform is adopted to construct website server. And users can design streaming media in the movie file form themselves. At the same time, Applet is used for web pages. All interrelated software of website can be downloaded from Intemet for free. This system has the advantages of low eest for software and hardware and is prone to maintenance. It can sup-port many kinds OS and multi-users concurrent easily. Therefore, this system is suitable for personal streaming media website.%针对目前较多流媒体网站采用Windows Media所产生的跨平台性差、安全性低而采用Real Media 费用高等问题,作者研发了一种基于Applet和JMF的流媒体网站的设计与实现.本方案采用最新版本的Java多媒体开发和Tom-cat发布环境构建流媒体网站服务器,能更好的支持与Java相关的web应用,具有比IIS更安全,不易受攻击等优点.DIY制作的MOV、EXE格式媒体流,具有压缩率高,播放流畅的优点,而且从一般视频格式转换过来方便简单,制作效率高.流媒体页面使用Applet技术,不仅与JMF
很好的结合为一体,且容易实现动态交互网页.本网站相关的所有软件均可以从网上免费下载,采用JMF技术使得网站具有支持多种主流操作系统和多用户并发访问能力,安全性好,易于维护、系统软硬件成本低等优点,非常适合建立个人的小型流媒体网站.
