例题:Your metabolism(新陈代谢) gets a head start. ___38____ If you work out in the mornings, then you will be getting the calorie(卡路里)burning benefits for the whole day, not in your sleep.E. You can keep your head clear for 4-10 hours after exercise.F. After you exercise, you continue to burn calories throughout the day.G. If you are planning to do exercise regularly, or you're doing it now, then listen up!

[考题回放](2015·北京高考)Finally,you never know what wonderful idea might strike while your mind has moved slowly away. 75G.Therefore,it's a good idea to keep a notebook or voice recorder nearby when you're in the daydream zone.[思路分析]G项中to keep a notebook or voice recorder nearby很好地解决了上句中提到的问题,从Therefore可知应为结论句。

2.段落过渡语句[考题回放](2014·北京高考)Making good choices about your own health requires reasonable evaluation.A key first step in bettering your evaluation ability is to look carefully at your sources of health information.Reasonable evaluation includes knowing where and how to find relevant information, how to separate fact from opinion, how to recognize poor reasoning, and how to analyze information and the reliability of sources. 71Go to the original source.Media reports often simplify the results of medical research.Find out for yourself what a study really reported, and determine whether it was based on good science.Think about the type of study.72.And examine the findings of the original research.G.The following suggestions can help you sort through the health information you receive from common sources.[思路分析]第一段简要提出我们要学会分析来自各种渠道的健康信息,下文接着就如何对这些信息进行分类整理给予一些建议,空格内的句子起承上启下的作用。

It's easy for us to get caught up in our own little worlds and hide what we're feeling from other people. __1__. But if you can open up more to others, you'll see how rewarding it is to connect on a deeper level.__2__. Relax and think through your feelings as they come to you. Whenever you feel something, take a second to sit with what you're feeling. Think about how you feel and let the emotion wash over you naturally.Name your emotions as they come to you. Giving your feeling a name makes it easier to understand. Once you're comfortable with a feeling, give the emotion a name. Are you anxious about something? If you don't feel anything particularly moving, are you bored, or content? This process will make you more selfaware. __3__.Maintain a journal for your feelings. One way to help you to open up emotionally to others is to keep a daily journal.__4__. Every day, write down a paragraph or two about your day and how it makes you feel. This will help you track your feelings over time and put you more in tune with yourself.Engage in fun activities to share experiences with others. Do things you enjoy with the people you love to share positive emotions with. Dedicate one night a week to going out and grab dinner with your family.__5__,or go on a 20minute walk every day. Things may not always go as planned, but being resourceful can help you stay calm and work your way out of tricky situations.Being resourceful means finding smart and creative ways to solve a problem, using whatever resources you have at the time.__1__ They can also be anything else that's useful, such as information, advice or your own experience. It also means trusting your instincts, the ability you're born with, and being confident about your ability to face challenges. A resourceful person is not the one getting cross or panicking when something goes wrong. They're thinking about how to solve the problem.__2__ When you learn to solve problems by yourself rather than immediately going to others for help, it can help to build your confidence, help you feel more independent and feel better about making decisions. Being resourceful may not help you avoid problems, but thinking creatively about how you can deal with them will make you feel less stressed and more prepared next time.__3__ This can boost selfesteem, that is, how you feel about yourself. When you're facing a challenge, try to focus on the actual problem rather than how you feel about it. Think about where and when it happens and what the causes are. Next, think up as many solutions to the problem as you can.__4__ Finally, review what has and hasn't worked, so you're equipped to deal with a situation next time. And remember,if you have a tricky problem that you're unable to solve, then ask a trusted adult for help.__5__A.You also learn what you're good at.B.Here is how you can be more resourceful.C.These may be practical things like pens and paper.D.No one is expected to solve all problems by himself.E.Resourcefulness is a skill that's good for you in lots of ways.F.They can be famous mottos that always inspire you to move on.G.Weigh what's good and bad about each one and choose the best.Test 3[2022·长春市普通高中高三质量监测(三)]Imagine you're about to submit an application to your dream school and suddenly, your heart starts pounding (狂跳): Did I make a wise decision choosing this major?__1__? For example, artificial intelligence, biomedical science and mechanical engineering are some of the most promising current majors. Now take a closer look at the above two steps. For example, maybe you find yourself hooked when you're learning about computer science, and artificial intelligence appears to be of great importance in the world as well.__4__. There may be a few, but don't worry, we still have one more step.Check your dream school's admission requirements. For example, I've been interested in both psychology and education, but apparently psychology has higher requirements for admission.__5__.Grab a pen and start creating your own desirable major.A.No, think hardB.Mark them bothC.What if I'm wrongD.What about seeking advice from my parentsE.If you have many ideas in mind, list them allF.Comparatively speaking, education would be a smarter choiceG.Write down what you believe will be most in demand in the futureTest 4[2022·郑州市高三第二次质量预测]Nowadays social media influencers have powerful influence. The concept of an influencer—a person who inspires or guides the actions of others—has been around for centuries. Before social media, influencers were famous persons or politicians far away from our lives.__1____2__ A study undertaken in the US, the UK and Spain found that young people spent 76% more time on social media in 2020 than in the previous year, partly due to physical isolation (隔离) caused by the COVID19 pandemic. In an age when anyone can be an influencer, content creators use their content on social media to influence others around the world.__3__ They post selfies in the latest fashion, livestream (网络直播) video game sessions or inspire others with motivational personal development advice.

段落的构成模式通常为:主题句(the topic sentence)+ 若干拓展句(developing sentences) + 结论句(the concluding sentence)。

All the people on our block give us trouble. Mrs. Brown calls the police whenever we go to play ball on the street. Mrs. Johnson complains that skateboarding makes too much noise. If we happen to stray into Mr.Hardy's yard, he yells at us.

1.总分关系[考题回放](2014·全国卷Ⅱ)From my experience, there are three main reasons why people don't cook more often: ability, money, and time. 16 Money is a topic I'll save for another day.So today I want to give you some wisdom about how to make the most of the time you spend in the kitchen. Here are three tips for great cooking on a tight schedule:B.Ability is easily improved.[思路分析]空格前面提到了三个原因:ability, money, time。

2.解释关系[考题回放](2016·四川高考)One important biological factor that helps women live longer is the difference in hormones between men and women. 37 Between the ages of about 12 and 50,women produce hormones that are involved in fertility(生育能力).These hormones also have a positive effect on the heart and the blood flow.In fact, women are less likely to have high blood pressure or to die from heart attacks.G.Hormones are chemicals which are produced by the body to control various body functions.[思路分析]空格前首次提到了荷尔蒙,空格后介绍的是荷尔蒙的功能,由此可推测该空应该是对hormones进行解释。

Do you struggle for a goal that is beyond your reach? 1 Are you setting yourself up for failure and shame when you can’t achieve the unachievable? Understanding wha t drives perfectionism is the first step toward releasing this self-created anchor that keeps us stuck.Shame and fear are often the hidden drivers of perfectionism. We believe that if we can fashion a perfectly polished personality, flash our intelligence, and perfect our humour, then no one can hurt us with criticism and we’ll win respect and approval.2 Politicians who display a desperate need to be right and refuse to acknowledge mistakes or uncertainty are often driven by a secret shame. They fear that showing vulnerability(弱点) will expose them to the accusation that they’re weak. They stick to a desire to be right, perfect, and polished, even when it’s obvious that the emperor has no clothes.Perfectionism keeps us leaning toward the future. We’re constantly evaluating ourselves in order to do better. 3 However,if we can’t relax and enjoy lighter moments, then we become prisoners of our perfectionism. We get painfully self-conscious and take ourselves too seriously.Sadly,we deprive(剥夺) ourselves of the simple pleasure of enjoying the moment and being ourselves.4 We realize that failing at any enterprise doesn’t mean that we are a failure.Without failures,we’ll never learn from our mistakes;we’ll never move forward in our lives. Those who succeed have made countless mistakes. The important thing is to learn from our error, forgive ourselves and move on.Being human, perfection is impossible. 5 Releasing ourselves from the desire to protect our image,we’re freed to sail gracefully through our successes and f ailures—and enjoy our precious life.A.Do you hold an idealized vision that is impossible to realize?B.A cure to perfectionism is to make room for our human shortcomings.C.Do you fear that others will be horrified by what you judge about yourself?D.The addiction to staying perfect protects us from any sign of being imperfect.E.There’s nothing wrong with wanting to do our best and self-correcting along the way.F.People who are addicted to perfection are often isolated, even if they seem outgoing and popular.G.By accepting ourselves as we are and doing our best,we begin to rid the shame that drives perfectionism.【答案】 1.A 2.D 3.E 4.B 5.G【解析】这是一篇说明文。

Keep it secureAll apps collect data as you use them. Following these four steps will help ensure you're not oversharing. For starters, download apps only from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not from random websites. 1.Before you accept an app's terms and conditions, look at what information it's planning to collect and think twice if it's asking for too many permissions. 2.Also, most apps don't need to know your location, but for those that do, you can choose to enable location services only when using the particular app, another smart privacy safeguard.Sign up using an e-mail address you've set up just for things like app permissions and e-mail newsletters.3.This way, if there is a security breach (缺口), your exposure is contained to things connected to that address.4.This means a long one (at least ten characters) with a mixture of letters, numbers, and special characters– and, sorry, a unique password for each app. According to security experts, a good trick is to create a memorable "passphrase" by creating a series of random words, and then substitute numbers or special characters (i.e., @ for at) for some of the letters.5.Go ahead and write them down — just store your cheat sheet in a secure location (not your wallet or phone case!). Or enlist a password manager such as 1Password or LastPass.A. For example, why would a gaming app need access to your text messages?B. How will you ever remember them all?C. Just be sure to choose your teams' official apps.D. Don't use your main e-mail address or social media account.E. Do you have an old smartphone you're not using anymore?F. These apps meet the major companies' quality standards.G. And, of course, use a secure password.(5分)阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的A、B、C和D四个选项中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。

模式2| 设空在段中[考题回放](2016·全国丙卷)There are many common methods used to cook fish. 40 First, clean it and season it with your choice of spices (调料).Put the whole fish on a plate and steam it in a steam pot for 8 to 10 minutes if it weighs about one pound.(A larger one will take more time.) Then,it's ready to serve.B.The easiest is to steam it.[思路分析]段落首句说“鱼有很多普通做法”并不是主题句,根据空格后面“如何蒸鱼”的介绍可知,空格内的句子“最简单的(方法)是蒸鱼”才是本段的主题句。

2.解释、引申、例证[考题回放](2016·全国丙卷)Everyone knows that fish is good for health. 36 But it seems that many people don't cook fish at home.Americans eat only about fifteen pounds of fish per person per year, but we eat twice as much fish in restaurants as at home.Buying, storing, and cooking fish isn't difficult.37.It just requires a little knowledge. This text is about how to buy and cook fish in an easy way.G.The fats in fish are thought to help prevent heart disease.[思路分析]空格内的句子是对前句的进一步解释,空格前说“人人都知道吃鱼有益健康”,空格内的句子解释原因是“人们认为鱼的脂肪有助于预防心脏病”。

3.方法、措施、步骤[考题回放](2014·全国卷Ⅰ)Understanding how others feel can be a challenge for kids.We know what's going on inside our own head, but what about others? Being able to read people helps kids from misreading a situation and jumping to false conclusions. 39 “Why do you think she's crying?”“Can you tell how that man is feeling by looking at his face?” “If someone were to do that to you,how would you feel?”F.We can do this in real life or ask questions about characters in stories.[思路分析]根据39空后面的几个问题我们很容易判断出,家长可以采取的方法是利用故事书中的人物教育孩子,引导孩子学会揣摩别人的心思。

Some studies will find that a behavior “contributes to” or is “associated with” an outcome; this does not mean that a certain course must lead to a certain result. 73 Carefully read or listen to information in order to fully understand it.F.Be aware that information may also be incorrectly explained by an author's point of view.[思路分析]F项与本段主题句Watch for misleading language.

A(2015·全国卷Ⅱ)Training for a marathon requires careful preparation and steady, gradual increases in the length of the runs. 1 ,buy the bestfitting, bestbuilt running shoes you can find.No one can say which brand will work best for you or feel best on your feet,so you have to rely on your experience and on the feel of each pair as you shop. When you have found shoes that seem right, walk in them for a few days to doublecheck the fit. 2 .As always, you should stretch(伸展)at least ten minutes before each run to prevent injuries.During the first week,do not think about distance, but run five minutes longer each day. 3 ,it is wise to take a day off to rest. But during the next week, set a goal of at least a mile and a half per run. 4 .After two weeks, start timing yourself. 5 .Depending on the kind of race you plan to enter, you can set up a timetable for the remaining weeks before the race.A.After six daysB.For a good marathon runnerC.Before you begin your trainingD.With each day, increase the distance by a half mileE.If they still feel good, you can begin running in themF.Time spent for preparation raises the quality of trainingG.Now you are ready to figure out a goal of improving distance and time本文是一篇说明文。

1.C[根据该空后面提供的语境buy the bestfitting, bestbuilt running shoes you can find(购买你能找到的最合适的、最好的跑鞋)可知,这是为了跑马拉松而进行的准备,这应该是在进行马拉松训练之前做的事情,故选C项“Before you begin your training”。

]2.E[由该空前的语境When you have found shoes that seem right, walk in them for a few days to doublecheck the fit.(当你发现似乎合适的鞋子时,穿着走动几天,再次检查其舒适度。

另外feel good与the fit相对应。

故选E。

]3.A[空前的During the first week,do not think about distance, but run five minutes longer each day.(在第一周的时候,不要考虑跑了多远,但是每天都要比前一天多跑5分钟。

)提到了the first week,即7天,空格后面说it is wise to take a day off to rest(休息一天是明智的),这样剩余的就是6天,与A项相关。

]4.D[根据该空格前面提供的语境But during the next week, set a goal of at least a mile and a half per run.(但是在接下来的一周,树立每次至少跑1.5英里的目标。

]5.G[由该空前的After two weeks,start timing yourself.(两周后,开始给自己计时。

)可知,这里的timing与G项中的improving distance and time意义相关。

]B(2016·河北省“五个一名校联盟”检测)How to Be CreativeMost of us think that creativity is a quality belonging only to artists, writers,or dancers, rather than ourselves. 6 The following tips are a great beginning for developing our creativity.Get out of your comfort zoneWe eagerly accept the familiar and fear the unknown.Break out of your usual patterns and welcome creativity into your life.As stated earlier, the human brain was designed to recognize patterns. 7 In fact, our comfort zone is nothing more than a collection of patterns. As we become more efficient at recognizing and using patterns,we rely less on creativity to find new paths. We should force ourselves out of our comfort zones and open up new possibilities.Try different thingsIf you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.We are creatures of habits and routines, and creativity hates routines. If you usually drive to work, take the subway for a few days. 8 Interrupt your routine, experiment and try something new.New things are often creative, but the same old thing never is.9Having a great idea is not enough; you must work to make it a reality.Have you ever seen a new product and realized that you thought of the same thing long ago? Yet someone else is making money with “your” idea. 10 The difference between a dreamer and a doer is action.Do whatever it takes to bring your ideas to life.If you can put them into practice, you are well on your way to improving your creativity in all areas of your life.A.Take actionB.Seek several optionsC.Think from the other person's point of view.D.If you normally eat in the office, have lunch under a tree.E.The truth is that we are all born with the capacity to be creative.F.We continue to create patterns and routines for almost everything we do.G.We all have great ideas sometimes, but only a few people turn their ideas into realities.
