the true meaning of marriage
Marriage is a sacred institution that holds different values for different people. For me, the correct value of marriage lies in the commitment, love, and companionship it brings. Marriage is not just a legal contract or a social status, but a lifelong bond between two individuals who are willing to share their lives together.First and foremost, marriage is about commitment. When two people decide to get married, they make a promise to be there for each other through thick and thin. This commitment requires trust, loyalty, and the willingness to work through challenges together. It is the foundation upon which a strong and lasting marriage is built.Love is another crucial aspect of marriage. Love is what brings two people together in the first place, and it is what sustains their relationship throughout the years.Love is not just a feeling, but a choice to prioritize the happiness and well-being of your partner. It is about supporting each other's dreams and aspirations, and finding joy in each other's successes.Companionship is also an essential value in marriage. A spouse is not just a romantic partner, but a best friend and a confidant. They are someone you can share your joys and sorrows with, someone who understands you deeply and accepts you for who you are. Having a companion in life makes the journey more meaningful and fulfilling. In addition to commitment, love, and companionship, marriage also brings many practical benefits. It provides a stable and secure environment for raising children, if the couple chooses to have them. It also offers legal and financial protections, such as inheritance rights and access to healthcare. These practical benefits further reinforce the value of marriage.

1A Movie About a Really Cool Old GuyI just watched this really neat movie called "The Life and Times of Mr. Teng Jia Xian" and I have to tell you all about it! It was a documentary, which is a kind of movie that tells a true story, about this super awesome old man named Mr. Teng.Mr. Teng is 104 years old, can you believe that? He's lived through so much history! The movie showed his whole life from when he was a little kid to now when he's a grandpa, grandpa, grandpa. It was like getting to travel back in time. When Mr. Teng was born way back in 1919, China was very different. There were no cars or planes or any of the modern things we have today. His family was really poor and he had to start working on the farm when he was only 5 years old! Can you imagine a teeny tiny 5-year-old kid doing hard labor on a farm all day? I'm 8 and I don't think I could handle that.As Mr. Teng got older, he went through some really tough times. There was a huge war going on in China called the Second Sino-Japanese War. The mean Japanese soldiers invaded China and made life miserable for everyone. Mr. Teng's village kept getting attacked and his house was even burned down! He had to flee into the mountains and hide out there just to stay alive. Just thinking about having to run away from your home and sleep in caves gives me the chills. But Mr. Teng was brave and never gave up, even when things looked impossible. After the war ended, he got married to his sweet wife Mrs. Zhang. They moved to the city and opened up a little noodle shop to start making money. Can you picture a 30-year-old Mr. Teng cooking up delicious noodle bowls for hungry people? I sure can!Over the years, Mr. Teng worked super duper hard to grow his business. Thefood was so yummy that people came from all over to eat at his restaurant. He saved up enough money to open more locations across the city. Before he knew it, Teng's Noodles had become a famous chain! Mr. Teng went from a poor farm kid to a self-made noodle tycoon. It's like a real-life rags to riches story. As I watched the documentary, I was just in awe of how much Mr. Teng has witnessed and accomplished in his amazingly long lifetime. He was born before airplanes were invented. As a young man, he saw China transform from an ancient empire into a modern nation. He started off with nothing but built a hugely successful business from scratch. And now at 104 years old, he's a hero to so many people! What I loved most about the movie was seeing the kind of warm, caring person Mr. Teng is. Sure, he's an impressive businessman and all. But more importantly, he's a gentle soul who treats everyone with kindness and respect. He deeply loves his family and has wonderful relationships with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Whenever he's on screen, you can't help but smile at his positive attitude and words of wisdom.By the end of the documentary, I felt like I really knew Mr. Teng and what an extraordinary human being he is. His life is proof that if you have courage, resilience and a good heart, you can overcome any obstacles. He inspired me to work hard, be a good person, and never give up on my dreams no matter what.I'm just a kid, but Mr. Teng's story gave me a newfound appreciation for history and how much the world has changed. It made me want to learn more about what China was like in theold days. I have a great-grandpa who is 92 and now I'm really curious to ask him about his life experiences too. Who knew watching a documentary could be so interesting and educational? So those are my thoughts after seeing "The Life and Times of Mr. Teng Jia Xian." I'd rate it a million out of 10 stars! It's an incredibly inspiring and heartwarming film about the amazing journey of one man. Mr. Teng is like a real-life superhero, except his superpower is being篇2Mr. Deng's Wedding Anniversary 40 Movie ReviewWow, I just watched the most amazing movie called "Mr. Deng's Wedding Anniversary 40" and I have to tell you all about it! It was a documentary film, which means it shows real people and real events instead of made-up stories. But let me tell you, the real life story of Mr. Deng and his wife was more interesting than any fiction movie I've ever seen! The film follows Mr. Deng, who is a very old man, as he prepares to celebrate his 40th wedding anniversary with his wife Mrs. Deng. Can you imagine being married to someone for 40 whole years? That's longer than my parents, grandparents, andeven great-grandparents have been alive! Mr. and Mrs. Deng must really, really love each other. At the start of the movie, we see Mr. Deng going about his daily life. He's quite frail and uses a walker to get around, but he still works hard every day running a little stall selling delicious noodle soups. His wife is too ill to work anymore, so Mr. Deng has to do everything himself - cooking the noodles, serving the customers, cleaning up afterwards. It looks like really tough work, especially for someone his age, but he does it all with a smile because he wants to earn money to give his wife a amazing 40th anniversary celebration.Mr. Deng is just the sweetest old man. Whenever he talks about his wife, you can see the love twinkling in his eyes. He tells all these romantic stories about how they met, their wedding day, and the challenges they faced together through the years. It makes me hope that if I get married someday, my husband and I can have a love like theirs that lasts forever. The anniversary celebration that Mr. Deng plans looks like so much fun! He finds their original wedding photos and gets them framed. He buys Mrs. Deng a beautiful new dress. He orders their favorite foods like whole roasted pig. And he even hires a band to come play music, just like at a real wedding reception! Whenthe day finally arrives, Mrs. Deng gets all dressed up and you can see her face just light up with joy. She looks so happy and proud to celebrate her milestone anniversary with the love of her life.Watching the anniversary party, I couldn't help but feel a little sad too. You can tell Mr. and Mrs. Deng are getting quite old and sick. At one point, Mr. Deng gives a speech thanking Mrs. Deng for being by his side through everything. He says something like "After walking together for 40 years, whichever one of us has to leave first, the other one has to hold on." It's clear this amazing couple knows their time together is limited as they get towards the end of their lives. But their love for each other is so strong, they'll cherish every last minute they have.I think my favorite part of the whole film was seeing the different old photographs and home movie clips from across Mr. and Mrs. Deng's 40 years of marriage. At their anniversary party, they had a projector set up playing private videos of their wedding day, holidays, family trips, all these precious memories. You got to see them as young newlyweds, then raising children, becoming grandparents, and finally growing old together. To me, that's the true meaning of marriage - spending your whole life by your spouse's side, through good times and bad, richer andpoorer, sharing every experience. No matter what happens, your marriage is your lifelong journey.Overall, I absolutely loved "Mr. Deng's Wedding Anniversary 40" and I think everyone needs to watch this movie! It's an incredibly beautiful, heartwarming, and romantic real-life love story. Even though Mr. and Mrs. Deng are now old and facing health issues, their obvious deep devotion for each other is so inspiring. They are the perfect example of a couple who truly lived out the "till death do us part" promise. After 40 amazing years together, their love burns brighter than ever. I hope if I'm lucky enough to find my soulmate someday, we can be just like the wonderful Mr. and Mrs. Deng - partners for life.篇3Deng Xiaoping's Life Movie Was Really Cool!I just watched this really long movie all about Deng Xiaoping's life and it was super interesting! At first I wasn't sure if I would like it because it's a documentary and those can sometimes be kind of boring. But this one had lots of cool old footage and pictures from when Deng Xiaoping was young and fighting in wars and becoming a leader of China. It kept me hooked the whole time! The movie started by talking about how Deng was born in a small village in 1904. Back then, China was really poor and had a lot of problems. But even as a little kid, Deng was wicked smart and wanted to help make China stronger. The movie showed pictures of him as a young student and told stories about how hard he studied. When he got older, Deng joined the Communist Party and helped fight against the Japanese invaders during World War 2. There was all this crazy battle footage from that time. Deng was so brave! He got wounded a couple times but just kept on fighting. After the war ended, there was a civil war in China between the Communists and the Nationalists. Deng was one of the top Communist military leaders helping fight those battles too. I can't imagine how scary it must have been being in the middle of all that gunfire and bombing! The movie went into a lot of detail about all the different jobs and positions Deng had over the years as China set up its new government after the Communists took over in 1949. He worked super hard and was really dedicated to making China a strong, modern country. At times he disagreed with some of Mao Zedong's policies and got purged from the government fora while, which must have been really rough. But Deng never gave up.In 1978, two years after Mao died, Deng Xiaoping finally became the most powerful leader in China. This is where the movie got really interesting to me. Deng started making all these reforms to open up China to foreign trade and investment. The movie showed footage of him meeting with other world leaders and signing agreements. It was like China was finally rejoining the world after being closed off for so long.A lot of the reforms allowed people to start their own businesses and make money through hard work instead of just working for the government. Deng said "To get rich is glorious" which was such a big change from before. Farms and factories started producing way more food and goods. Cities grew like crazy. People's lives were improving every year with more opportunities and wealth.Towards the end of the movie, it showed Deng as an old man finally retiring in the 1990s after accomplishing so much for his country over his 90+ years of life. China had transformed from a poor, backwards nation into a rising world power. It was sad when he passed away, but his legacy and impact lived on. The movie made me feel really inspired by how hard Dengworked and everything he went through to help make China strong and prosperous.Overall, I'd totally recommend watching this documentary if you're interested in learning about Chinese history and one of its most important leaders. It covered Deng Xiaoping's entire life in awesome detail with lots of cool footage and photos I'd never seen before. While some parts were a little hard to completely understand, it really opened my eyes to how much China has changed and developed thanks to Deng's leadership and revolutionary reforms. I got a new appreciation for just how tough Deng was, beating the odds again and again to ultimately transform China into the globally powerful nation it is today. What a guy! His life story is pretty epic.篇4The Chronicles of Master Den's Marriage: A Movie That Opened My Eyes!Wow, what a movie! I just finished watching "The Chronicles of Master Den's Marriage" and my mind is blown. I had no idea marriage could be so complicated and dramatic. This documentary really opened my eyes to all the twists and turnsthat can happen when two people decide to spend their lives together. The movie followed the life of Master Den, a famous martial arts teacher, and his journey to find a wife. I don't want to give away too many spoilers, but let me just say that his path to marriage was anything but smooth. There were so many ups and downs, unexpected challenges, and crazy misunderstandings along the way. At times, I found myself on the edge of my seat, desperately hoping things would work out for poor Master Den.One of the craziest parts was when Master Den's firstwife-to-be, Miss Blossom, ran away right before the wedding because she thought he was already married to someone else! Can you imagine? After all that planning and preparation, the whole thing was called off at the very last minute. I felt so bad for Master Den during that part. His heartbreak was obvious, and I may have shed a few tears myself. Luckily, the misunderstanding was cleared up eventually, but not before a lot of drama and chaos. Then there was the time when Master Den accidentally got engaged to two different women on the same day! How does something like that even happen? I still can't quite wrap my head around the mix-up that led to that situation. All I know is that Iwouldn't want to be in Master Den's shoes when he had to explain himself to those two angry ladies. That confrontation looked intense!Despite all the confusion and setbacks, Master Den's perseverance and dedication to finding his true love was really inspiring. Time after time, he picked himself up after disappointment and tried again. He never gave up on his dream of marriage, no matter how complicated things got. Witnessing his commitment made me realize how important marriage must be to take on that many challenges. In the end, Master Den did find his soulmate, Miss Orchid. But even their happy ending had a few twists and turns before they could finally walk down the aisle! Like when Master Den's former wife Miss Blossom showed up again to try to win him back. Or when Master Den and Miss Orchid got into a huge argument over the wedding arrangements and briefly called everything off. A peaceful marriage seemed so far away at certain points.Ultimately though, their love triumphed over all the obstacles. Master Den and Miss Orchid finally got their beautiful wedding, and the closing scenes of them starting their new life together were so touching. After being along for the emotionalrollercoaster ride of their relationship, I was overjoyed to see them officially become husband and wife. They deserved every bit of that happiness.Watching this documentary made me think a lot about why people even want to get married in the first place. It's clearly not an easy road, as Master Den discovered. Marriage seems to bring so much extra stress, heartbreak, and general chaos into your life sometimes. So why go through all that? But then I realized that marriage, at least for Master Den and Miss Orchid, was about finding your other half. Your soulmate. Your person to laugh with, cry with, and take on the world together with. All the complications were worth it in the end because they helped Master Den confirm that Miss Orchid was the one he wanted by his side forever. At my age, the idea of marriage still feels weird and far away. But this movie showed me that love is powerful enough to make all those troubles worth enduring. One day, if I'm lucky enough to find my own Miss Orchid, I think I'll understand the magic of marriage better. For now though, I'm just grateful I got to witness Master Den's special love story.Overall, I'd definitely recommend "The Chronicles of Master Den's Marriage" to anyone who wants an inside look at one oflife's biggest commitments. Fair warning though, you might cry a few times. You'll definitely laugh篇5The Life and Times of Mr. Deng's First Wife: A Kid's PerspectiveWow, where do I even start with this documentary? It was like nothing I've ever seen before! The whole time I was watching, I felt like I was right there living through all the crazy ups and downs of Mr. Deng and his first wife's life together.I guess I should backtrack a little bit. The documentary is all about this guy named Mr. Deng who lived in China a really long time ago. He was married to his first wife for over 40 years, starting way back in the 1920s when they were just kids themselves! Can you imagine being married to someone for 40 whole years? That's like twice as long as I've even been alive!Anyway, the documentary follows their entire life story from when they first met as teenagers, all the way until Mr. Deng's wife passed away as an elderly woman in the 1960s. And let me tell you, they sure went through a lot together over those 40 years! In the beginning, it was kind of a sweet, romantic story. You see them fall in love, get married, and start a family together. But then things get really intense when wars break out across China. Mr. Deng has to go fight, leaving his wife and young kids behind in their village. The documentary shows just how hard life was for Mr. Deng's wife during that time, struggling to feed the kids and keep the family going while her husband was away for years at a time. There was this one scene where she had to eat bark from trees because they had no food left, and it just broke my heart. When Mr. Deng finally came back from the wars, I thought things would get better for them. But nope! More crazy stuff kept happening, like political uprisings, natural disasters, you name it. At times, I didn't know whether to feel sad for everything they were going through or just amazed at how tough and resilient they were.Through all the hardship though, the one thing that always struck me was how much love there seemed to be between Mr. Deng and his wife. No matter what challenges life threw their way, they stood by each other's side until the very end. You could see it in all the old photos and video footage - the way they looked at each other, the tenderness between them. It gave me awhole new appreciation for the meaning of marriage and commitment. My favorite parts were the little glimpses into their everyday lives and personalities. Like how Mrs. Deng was always scolding the kids for tracking mud into the house, or Mr. Deng's funny habit of snoring like a bear whenever he napped. They felt like real people, not just characters in a documentary. At times, I even forgot I was watching something that happened over 50 years ago! What really blew my mind though was seeing how much China itself changed over the course of their lives. At the start, they were living in a tiny rural village with no electricity or running water. But then towards the end, you see cities getting built up, roads getting paved, and all these amazing modern developments happening. It's like they lived through several lifetimes worth of history just in those 40 years together!Overall, I'm just so glad I got to learn about Mr. Deng, his wife, and their incredible story through this documentary. It definitely opened my eyes to a lot of things - the importance of perseverance, the true meaning of love and partnership, and some fascinating Chinese history that they never really teach us in school. Plus, it was just an all-around engaging, emotional, and human story that I think anyone could appreciate and learn from.I know I'll never forget the life lessons I took away from The Life and Times of Mr. Deng's First Wife. Every marriage is going to have its ups and downs, but if you can stick it out through thick and thin with love, respect and loyalty for each other, that's what really matters in the end. Mr. Deng and his wife showed that no matter how hard things get, as long as you have your partner's back, you can overcome anything life throws your way together. So yeah, I may only be a kid, but this documentary definitely made me think a lot about what a amazing and precious thing marriage is. I just hope that if I'm lucky enough to meet my future husband or wife someday, we can have even half as a strong relationship as Mr. Deng and his first wife did. Now those two were the real life couple goals!篇6The Epic Journey of Mr. Deng's Bride Movie ReviewWow, what an awesome movie! "The Epic Journey of Mr. Deng's Bride" was so exciting and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's the true story of a young woman namedXiao'e who has to travel over 1,000 miles across China to get married in the 1940s. Can you imagine having to walk that far just to get married? I got tired just thinking about it!The movie starts off in Xiao'e's tiny village way out in the countryside of Sichuan Province in western China. She's getting ready to marry a guy named Deng Xiaoping that she's never even met before! Back in those days, marriages were all arranged by the parents when the kids were really young. Xiao'e's parents picked Deng for her to marry because his family was pretty well-off and lived all the way over in Guangdong Province in the far southeast part of China.Xiao'e has to say goodbye to her mom, dad, and little brother which was really sad. They gave her this cool wooden chest filled with all her belongings to take with her. The chest was carved with phoenix and dragon designs which represented good luck. I thought that was so neat! Xiao'e's journey starts off bad though when the chair carriers she hired ditch her after just a few miles. Now she's all alone and has to carry the huge heavy chest herself!Lucky for Xiao'e, she soon runs into this nice old farmer named Lao Qin who agrees to be her guide and protector for the trip. Lao Qin was my favorite character! He was so funny and hadthis bushy white beard and walked with a big wooden staff. He was like a wise old wizard looking out for Xiao'e. Together they set out on foot, walking through mountains, forests, fields, everything! The scenery was just beautiful with so many amazing views of the Chinese countryside. But the journey was super dangerous too with lots of bad stuff happening. They had to sneak past Japanese soldiers who were invading China at the time. Lao Qin and Xiao'e dressed as beggars and hid in haystacks to get by them. There were also mean bandit gangs who kept trying to rob them and takeXiao'e's wooden dowry chest. In one really scary part, they got caught in this crazy flash flood while crossing a river! The water was raging and Xiao'e almost drowned but Lao Qin saved her just in time. Phew!Despite all the obstacles, Xiao'e was determined to make it to Guangdong no matter what. She showed courage I could never imagine having at her age. Lao Qin taught her so much wisdom along the way too, like saying "The greenest bamboo must go through the harshest winter cold." I'm not exactly sure what that means, but it sounded really profound! He gave her strength to keep going. Finally, after over a year of travelling, they made it to Deng's village. I was so happy for Xiao'e but also sad because it meant she had to say goodbye to Lao Qin, her loyal friend and protector. He had become like a grandfather to her. The sending-off scene was incredibly heartwarming and bittersweet.I maybe shed a few tears, I'm not gonna lie!Xiao'e got married to Deng just like her parents wanted. The wedding scenes looked so vibrant and colorful. Although the movie ended, the epilogue said Xiao'e and Deng stayed married for over 60 years until he passed away in the 1990s. She lived an amazing life by his side as he became a hugely important leader of China. How crazy that her incredible journey led to that!Overall, I gave "The Epic Journey of Mr. Deng's Bride" 5 out of 5 stars! It had non-stop adventure and action that kept me on the edge of my seat. But it also had really funny and heartwarming moments too. Most of all, it was just an epic and inspiring true story about a brave young woman who overcame so much. I'll never forget Xiao'e and Lao Qin's journey. This movie opened my eyes to what life was like in ancient China which was fascinating to learn about. It made me appreciate how cushy my life is today! I easily give this movie my highest recommendation to everyone.。

The hope and uncomplicated joy of a wedding is often a stark contrast to the real-life challenges ofday-to-day married life. Some of Blocks couples weathered the years well, and some did not, but all reveal a lot about our relationships, the e*pectations and hopes we put into them, and what marriage/commitment really looks like.

If weddings are the splash and fizz of opening night on Broadway, marriage is the slog of the dozens, hundreds, thousands of performances that follow. How are couples supposed to maintain the best parts of theearly days of their relationship amid the slings and arrows of day-to-day life?

The phenomenon of wedding fever in China has been a fascinating cultural trend that has captured the attentionof both domestic and international observers. This trend, characterized by a surge in weddings, often driven bysocial and cultural pressures, as well as personal desires, has become a significant aspect of modern Chinese society. In recent years, the wedding industry in China has experienced explosive growth, with an increasing number of couples choosing to tie the knot at elaborate and extravagant weddings. This trend is often fueled by the desire to showcase one's social status and wealth, as well as to celebrate the union of two families. As a result, weddings in China often involve lavish spending on venues, catering, photography, and other related services. However, the reasons for this wedding fever are not solely based on materialistic considerations. Cultural norms and traditions also play a significant role. In China, marriage is often viewed as a crucial life event that marks the transition from adolescence to adulthood. It is seen as a means of solidifying social ties and ensuring thecontinuation of the family lineage. Therefore, manyfamilies place a high value on weddings, considering them as an important milestone in their children's lives. Moreover, the influence of social media and popular culture has also contributed to the wedding fever phenomenon. Weddings are often showcased on social media platforms, with couples sharing their happy moments and experiences with friends and family. This, in turn, has created a sense of competition and pressure to have a "perfect" wedding that meets society's expectations. However, it is worth noting that the wedding fever phenomenon is not without its critics. Some argue that the emphasis on lavish weddings and materialistic displays overshadows the true meaning of marriage, which should be based on love, commitment, and mutual respect. Others point out that the high costs associated with weddings can often place a financial burden on families, especially in the context of rising living costs and economic pressures. In conclusion, the wedding fever phenomenon in China reflects a complex interplay of social, cultural, and personal factors. While it is a celebration of love andunion, it also highlights the influence of social norms and pressures on individuals' choices and behaviors. As society evolves and changes, it remains to be seen how this trend will continue to shape the landscape of weddings in China.
