学习活动设计Step 1 Warming up
Ask the students some questions.
Ask them to describe their problems.
Step 2 Presentation
Most of you have problems. Do you know how to tell your problems? I think Sue has problems too, though she is the top student in her class. Let’s see Sue’s profile.
Read through Sue’s prof ile on page 54 with students. Ask them to think about what information a student profile should include. Write the following on the board.

Step 3 Practice
1. Ask a student to read Sue’s profile aloud. Explain to students that some of the information in the student profile will help them to complete the notes about Sue. However, they will not be able to find all the answers in the profile.
2. Finish Part A2 according to A1. They can find 4 answers.
3. Play the tape for the students to understand the conversation.
4. Play it again for the students to finish Part A2.
5. Check the answer with the students.
Ask students to read one answer each. Check for mistakes and mispronunciation
6. Read the notes in Part A1 and make a conversation about Part A1 in pairs.
e.g. A: What’s your name?
B: …
A: What are you good at?
B: …
Step 4 Practice
1.Explain to the students that they can use the profile and the note from page 54 to help them complete Part A3 on page 55.
2.Divide the class into pairs. Each pair must work together to come up with the correct answers. The first pair to do all of the answers correctly wins.
3.Ask a person from each pair to read one sentence at a time. Encourage students to listen and find mistakes. Raise their hands when they have a question.
4.Read Part A3 together.
Step 5 Presentation
Say: Your friends have problems. Do you want to share their problems? Can you give them some advice? How can you help your friends and give them some advice? Let’s close the book and listen to the tape.
