剑桥少儿英语一级考试2024年5月

剑桥少儿英语一级考试2024年5月全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Brilliant School TripLast month, my class went on the most amazing school trip ever! We had been learning about animals and nature in science class, so our teachers planned a special trip to a wildlife park and nature reserve. I could barely sleep the night before because I was so excited! The morning of the trip, we all met at school super early to catch the big green bus. I made sure to wear my comfiest shoes and brought my backpack full of snacks and drinks. After anot-too-long bus ride, we finally arrived at the wildlife park. I could hardly contain my excitement!First, we went to see the bird exhibit. There were so many beautiful birds from all over the world! My favorite was the tiny, colorful hummingbirds that zipped around so quickly. Our guide told us that hummingbirds flap their wings so fast that you can barely see them move. We also saw huge eagles, pretty pink flamingos, and silly-looking penguins waddling around. After the bird exhibit, we walked over to the big cat area. I got a little nervous seeing the powerful lions, tigers, and jaguars up close! They are such strong, magnificent animals. Our guide assured us they were safe behind the tall fences as long as we didn't try to pet them or anything silly like that. I made sure to stay a good distance away, just in case.Next up were the adorable and silly monkeys! They jumped and played and made lots of funny noises at each other. Some of them looked so human-like that I couldn't help but laugh. The guide let us give them some monkey-safe snacks, which they snatched up excitedly. One even did a little dance after getting a treat! So cute.Around lunchtime, we stopped to have our packed lunches at a shaded picnic area in the park. I got to run around and play tag with my friends for a little while to burn off some energy after sitting on the bus that morning. After eating, we headed over to the petting zoo area. The petting zoo was definitely one of the highlights! We got to gently pet and brush some furry goats, woolly sheep, and even a couple of ponies. I was a little nervous around the bigger animals at first, but the staff helped show me how to approachthem calmly and let them sniff my hand before petting. By the end, I was an expert pony petter! After such an exciting animal-filled morning, we went on a nature hike through the connected forest reserve in the afternoon. Our guides pointed out all sorts of interesting plants, flowers, birds, and little critters living in the woods. We even spotted a deer peeking through the trees! I tried to step as quietly as I could so I wouldn't scare it away. The hike path took us along a winding stream where we stopped to look for fish, frogs, and other river life. The clear water was so cool and refreshing when I stuck my hands in. Our guide taught us how stream ecosystems work and why it's so important to keep them clean and protected.By the time we made it back to the entrance, I was absolutely exhausted from exploring all day. Still, I felt so lucky to have experienced such an amazing school trip full of incredible animals and nature. I learned so much and had a blast! On the bus ride back to school, my friends and I could hardly stop talking about our favorite parts of the trip. Some liked the birds best, others the big cats or monkeys. I think my top highlight was getting to interact with the ponies at the pettingzoo. They were just so sweet and gentle. Whatever our favorite part was, we all agreed it was the best field trip ever. When we finally made it back to school, I gave my mom the biggest hug. I couldn't wait to tell her all about the awesome animals I saw and incredible places I got to explore. A school trip truly is the best way to experience what you're learning in a whole new way. I'm already wondering where we'll go next year - maybe a science museum or planetarium? Wherever it is, I know it will be another unforgettable adventure. School trips are definitely the best!篇2The Big English Test Adventure!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 8 years old. I just took the Cambridge Young Learners English exam last week and I wanted to tell you all about my exciting experience! It all started a few months ago when my teacher Mrs. Peterson told our class that we would be taking an important English test called the "Cambridge Young Learners Exam." I had never heard of it before, but she said it was a really big deal and students from all over the world take it every year. At first, I was a little nervous. A big exam? In English? What if I mess up?But Mrs. Peterson could see the worried looks on our faces and gave us an encouraging smile. "Don't you worry," she said warmly. "We're going to practice hard and get super ready for this test. It's going to be fun!" Fun? A test that's fun? I wasn't so sure about that!Well, Mrs. Peterson was true to her word. We spent the next few months doing all kinds of activities to get ready. We practiced reading comprehension by reading short stories and articles, then answering questions about them. We learned new vocabulary words through songs and games. We worked on our listening skills and had conversations to improve our speaking.Bit by bit, I started feeling more confident. The reading, writing, speaking and listening practice was challenging, but also kind of exciting. It was like leveling up in my favorite video game!I was determined to get to that highest level. Finally, test day arrived - May 15th, 2024. I was feeling a mixture of nerves and enthusiasm as my dad drove me to the test center that morning. When we got there, I saw kids my age from other schools arriving too. We all had to sign in and were given strict instructions about no cheating, leaving phones and watches in the lobby, and raising our hand if we needed anything during the test. Yikes, this was serious business! The first part of the test was the Listening section. A lady spoke into a microphone and we had to listen carefully to conversations and stories she played from a recording. Then we had to answer multiple choice questions about what we heard. My palms were sweating a little, but I focused hard and used all the listening strategies we had practiced.Next up was Reading & Writing. We had booklets with different texts like stories, articles and advertisements. We had to read each one then answer comprehension questions about them. For the writing part, we were given a picture and had to write a few sentences describing what we saw. After we finished that booklet, we got a break for a snack and to stretch our legs. I feeling pretty good so far! The sections were just like the practice ones Mrs. Peterson had us do. As long as I stayed calm and used what I learned, I knew I could do this. The final part was the Speaking section. One by one, we went into another room and had a conversation with an examiner about topics like our hobbies, family, favorite subjects and more. I've never been super shy, so I actually liked this part! The examiner made me feel comfortable and it was kind of fun pretending to be a talk show host being interviewed. At long last, the test was over! I couldn't believe I had made it through such a big important exam. I felt proud of myself and also relieved that it was finally done. While waiting for my dad to pick me up, the other students and I chatted and compared which sections we thought went well or were the most difficult.A couple months later, the results came in the mail. I passed with flying colors! My reading, writing, listening and speaking were all rated as "proficient." Along with my test scores, I also got an official certificate from Cambridge saying I completed the Young Learners level. How cool is that?Mrs. Peterson beamed with pride when I showed her my results. "You see?" she told me. "I knew if we prepared well, this test would be an adventure instead of a scary obstacle!" She was absolutely right. With the right practice and mind set, an important exam can be challenging yet rewarding. Kind of like climbing a big mountain - it's tough and rocky, but once you make it to the peak the view is incredible. So if you ever have to take a big test like the Cambridge Young Learners, don't be nervous! Study hard, stay positive, and remember that working towards that goal is an exciting journey. You've got this! And who knows? Maybe one day you'll be the one telling your own "Big Test Adventure" story.篇3My Big English Test Adventure!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm 8 years old. I just took a really big English test called the Cambridge Young Learners English Test Starters level. It was kind of scary but also really exciting! Let me tell you all about my test day adventure. It all started a few months ago when my English teacher Mrs. Smith told our class that we would all be taking the Starters test in May. She said it's a test for young learners like us to show how much English we've learned. I wasn't sure if I was ready for a big test like that! English is my favorite subject but tests always make me a little nervous.Mrs. Smith had us do lots of practice exercises to get ready. We practiced listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. The writing part was hard for me because my handwriting isn't very neat yet. But Mrs. Smith said not to worry, just to do my best. She also said the test has different sections just like our practice, so it wouldn't be too overwhelming. When the test day finally arrived, I had butterflies in my tummy! My mom made me a special breakfast to give me energy. Then she drove me to the test center which was at a big schoolI'd never been to before. There were kids there from all different schools getting ready to take the test too. We had to wait in the hallway until they called us into the testing rooms.First up was the listening section. An teacher I didn't know gave instructions over a speaker about listening carefully and marking the answers on a booklet. Then we heard different conversations and stories in English and had to mark what we heard on a picture or answer a question. It was kind of fun picking out the information! After listening, we took a short break. We got to have a snack and run around the hallway for a few minutes to stretch our legs. I was feeling much better after the break!Next came the reading and writing tests. We had a booklet with different texts and questions. There were stories to read and rhenanswer comprehension questions. There was also a section where we had to look at a picture and write a few sentences about it. I tried so hard to make my writing neat! The last part was the speaking test. One at a time, we went into a room with an examiner and she asked us questions in English about different topics and showed us pictures to describe. I was a little shy but I tried my best to speak clearly in English. Phew, I was so relieved when it was finally over! While I was waiting for my mom to pick me up, the teacher proctors gave us all stickers and lollipops. Even though parts of the test were hard, I felt really proud for trying my best. A few weeks later, Mrs. Smith let us know that we all passed with high marks! I was so excited and happy.Taking the Starters test was a really big deal for me as a young English learner. It helped show me and my teachers how much I've learned. It also helped me get more confidence speaking, listening, reading and writing in English. Mrs. Smith said the next step is working towards the Cambridge Young Learners English Test Movers level next year. I can't wait for my next English testing adventure!篇4My Big English Exam Adventure!Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 8 years old. I just took a really important English exam called the Cambridge Young Learners English Test - Starters level. It was a big deal for me and all my classmates. Let me tell you all about my exciting exam adventure! It all started a few months ago when my English teacher Ms. Roberts told our class that we would be taking the Cambridgeexams in May. I didn't know much about them at first, but she explained that they are world-famous tests that let kids like me show off our English skills. There are different levels too - Starters is the first one for beginners.Ms. Roberts said passing the Starters exam would give us a cool certificate and help prepare us for the next levels like Movers and Flyers when we get older. It sounded like a fun challenge to me! I really enjoy learning English. It's such an interesting and useful language.Over the next few months, we did lots of practice activities in class to get ready. We learned test techniques like skimming for important information, eliminating wrong answer choices, and managing our time wisely. We practiced listening exercises, reading short texts, and writing simple sentences. It was great preparation. Finally, exam day arrived on May 12th, 2024! I was a little nervous that morning, but also really excited. My dad made me a special breakfast of pancakes to give me energy. Then my mom dropped me off at the exam center which was at the local community college. There were kids from all around the area coming to take their Cambridge tests too.First up was the Listening portion. We had to listen very carefully to recorded conversations and announcements, then answer questions about what we heard. Some parts were a bit tricky, but I stayed focused. My favorite part was a story about a talking parrot - how funny! After a short break, we moved onto the Reading & Writing paper. This involved reading cute little stories and info passages, then writing words, sentences and answering multiple-choice questions to show our understanding. I really enjoyed the story about a puppy getting lost in the park. Phew, that Writing section was the hardest for me since I'm still learning how to spell lots of new words in English. But I tried my best! Finally, it was time for the last part - the Speaking exam! One-by-one we went into a room with an friendly examiner who asked us questions and had us describe some picture stories. I was a tiny bit shy at first, but the examiner made me feel comfortable and it wasn't too scary in the end. I loved telling her all about my favorite stuffed animal and reading a picture story about a girl baking cookies. And just like that, my first big Cambridge exam was over! I felt such a mix of relief and happiness as I walked out of the testcenter. My parents gave me a big celebratory hug when I met them outside. We all went for pizza to mark the special occasion.A few weeks later, the results came in the mail. I was overjoyed to learn that I passed the Starters exam! My certificate looks so official. I can't wait to move onto the Movers level tests next year and continue growing my English abilities. This was such a rewarding experience that made me feel proud of my hard work.If you're a young learner getting ready for the Cambridge exams, here are my top tips: Pay attention in class, do lots of practice, don't stress too much, and just try your very best! Learning English is a fun journey. Exams like these are great opportunities to challenge ourselves and show off our skills. I'm so happy I took the plunge this year. Wish me luck for next time!篇5My Favorite Animal - The Playful DolphinHi everyone! Today, I want to tell you all about my favorite animal in the whole wide world - the dolphin! Dolphins are amazing creatures that live in the ocean. They are super smart and playful. I just love everything about them!Dolphins are mammals, just like us! They have smooth skin that feels so soft and warm. They come in different colors, like gray, blue, and even pink! Can you believe it? Pink dolphins are so rare and special. I wish I could see one in real life someday. One thing that makes dolphins so special is that they are excellent swimmers. They can swim really fast and jump high out of the water. It's like they're doing acrobatics in the ocean! Whenever I see dolphins swimming and leaping, it makes me feel so happy and excited.Did you know that dolphins are very friendly? They love being around other dolphins and even humans sometimes. They are always curious and like to investigate things. Dolphins are known to be very social animals. They live in groups called pods, and they take care of each other. Isn't that cool?Dolphins are also very intelligent animals. They can learn new things quickly. Some dolphins can even understand and follow instructions from their trainers. They can do tricks like jumping through hoops, spinning in the air, and even painting! It's like they're the superstars of the ocean. One of my dreams is to swim with dolphins someday. I would love to see them up close and play with them. I imagine it would be so much fun to swim alongside them and hear theirbeautiful sounds. Dolphins communicate with each other by making different clicks and whistles. It's their way of talking, just like how we use words.Another interesting fact about dolphins is that they eat fish and squid. They have sharp teeth to catch their prey. But don't worry, they don't eat people! Dolphins are very gentle and kind animals. They like to have fun and make people happy. In conclusion, dolphins are my favorite animals because they are playful, friendly, and intelligent. I love their graceful swimming, their beautiful colors, and their amazing tricks. They bring so much joy and happiness to the world. If you ever get a chance to see dolphins, I'm sure you'll fall in love with them too!I hope you enjoyed learning about dolphins with me today. Maybe one day, we can all go on an adventure together and meet these incredible creatures. Until then, keep exploring and discovering the wonders of our amazing world!Take care and see you soon!篇6Hello! My name is Emma and I'm 8 years old. I just took the Cambridge Young Learners English Exam Starters level in May 2024 and I want to tell you all about it!First, we had to do the Listening part. The teacher played some recordings and asked us questions. There were five cute little picture stories. In the first one, it was about a boy named Sam who was getting ready for school. He had to put on his uniform, brush his teeth, pack his bag and more. After each story, we had to answer some questions by pointing to the right picture. Some questions were hard but I tried my best!Next was the Reading and Writing part. We got a big colorful booklet with different activities. The first few pages had letters, words and numbers that we had to read out loud. Then there were some easy sentences like "This is my cat" or "I can run and jump" and we circled the picture that matched. After that, it got a little trickier. There were short stories and we had to answer questions by writing a word or letter in a box. One story was about a girl buying fruit at the market. I had to write which fruits she bought based on the pictures. Another one was about a family having a picnic and we had to write where they went. The park? The beach? It was fun but a little hard. For the Speaking part, I went into a room with one other student and the examiner. We had to bring an object from home and talk about it. I brought my teddy bear and talked about his name, color, where I got him and why he's special. He's been my best friend since I was a baby! The examiner asked us questions too, like what games we like to play or what we had for breakfast. Finally was the Writing part, which was my favorite! We got a big piece of paper with a frame at the top. Inside the frame was a simple scene, like a living room or playground. Our job was to finish the picture by adding details and objects. I drew a big TV, some toys, and even my dog Buddy! At the end, we had to write 1-2 sentences about our picture. When I was all done, I felt proud of myself for working so hard. The exam had listening, speaking, reading, and writing - a little bit of everything! Parts were easy but some were challenging. I just did my best and had fun with it. Whether I pass or not, at least I tried my best and learned a lot of English along the way.If you're going to take the Starters exam too, I have some tips! Practice speaking English at home with your family. Read lots of easy books or watch shows for kids in English. And don'tbe nervous - it's just like some special English activities and games. Just relax, do your best, and I'm sure you'll do great!Well, that's everything about my experience with the exam. English is such an important language and tests like this really help us learn. I'm so glad my parents let me take it. Hopefully I'll pass and can move up to the next level next year! Wish me luck!。
