speak : “说话”,着重开口发声,不着重所说的内容,一般用作不及物动词(即后面不能直接接宾语) 。

如:Can you speak about him? 你能不能说说他的情况?I don’t like to speak like this. 我不喜欢这样说话。

speak 作及物动词解时,只能和某种语言等连用,表达在对话中恰当使用词汇的能力。

如:She speaks English well.她英语说得好。

talk : 与speak 意义相近,也着重说话的动作,而不着重所说的话,因此,一般也只用作不及物动词,不过,talk 暗示话是对某人说的,有较强的对话意味,着重指连续地和别人谈话。

如:I would like to talk to him about it . 我想跟他谈那件事。

Old women like to talk with children.老年妇女喜欢和孩子们交谈。

tell : “告诉”,除较少情况外,一般后面总接双宾语。

如:He’s telling me a story.他在给我讲故事。

(You’d better+动词原形)三.重要知识点1.pay(1)做不可数名词时,“工资,薪水”如:He teaches us without pay.(2)做动词,意为“付钱”时,常和介词for搭配;做动词意为“发工钱,给报酬”等可直接跟表示人的名词。

spend/cost/pay/take辨析:(1)spend的主语通常是人,往往用于以下句型:sb spend some money/some time on sth.sb spend some money/some time(in)doing sth.例如:I spent fifty yuan on the coat.= I spent fifty yuan (in) buying the coat. 我花50元买了这件大衣。

He spent three days on the work.= He spend three days (in) doing the work. 我干这项工作用了3天。

(2)take常用于“占用、花费”时间,其主语通常为形式主语“it”或物。

句式是:It takes/took sb.some time to do sth=Sth.takes sb.some time. 例如:It took me three years to draw the beautiful horses.画这些漂亮的马花费了我3年时间。

The work will take me two days.这项工作花了2天时间。

(3) pay为“付款、赔偿”之意,主语通常是人,往往是sb. pay some money for sth或pay sb.(some money for sth) 如:I paid fifty yuan for the coat.我花50元买了这件大衣。

He has paid the doctor 50 pounds for the medicine? 他买药已付医生50英镑。
