Role Play(终版) .docx.

Manager (Melisa):Good morning, everyone!三人齐声: Morning!Manager (Melisa):I know all of you must have prepared much for this meeting since Monday. Surely it’s not really an easy time for us to get through the second quarter of our company, because we are facing one of the most serious reduction of sale.Marketingexecutive(Anna):According to the sale statistics, the second qua rter’s sale reduced to a half of last quarter’s, as well as the two thirds of the same quarter’s in last few years. It’s an unusual quarter for sale department t o handle such a puzzled situation. In fact, before we trapped into this difficult situation, all of our staffs had worked hard to improve the sale of our products. But i t didn’t stop the severe change.Productionsupervisor (Kerry):In fact, we have provided the sales department with a projected and sufficient supply of material and production. While we could no longer sale any product, the inventory had an obvious increase in the second quarter. And as the winter is coming in next two months, I’m afraid that the inventory will be out of time and still occupy the space of warehouse. You know, it needs extra costs and wastes resources.Manager (Melisa): Anyway, this one must be over considered. I have scanned all the files you’ve given me. The reduction of sales also has produced a bad eff ect on the corporateimage and seriously affected our share price in the stock market. Right, Mark?Financesupervisor(Mark): It’s a fact that the stock price has decreased to 85% of the first quarter’s, from $380 to $323. Few of our stockholders have changed their minds to invest on other companies which are our powerful competitors in the same industry. For instance, the stock price of ABC Company has an unimaginable increase of 30%, from $300 to $390, mainly contributed by its last quarter’s newest product.Manager (Melisa):I think you’v e mentioned one key point that we’ll talk then. OK, all of you had done a hard work during the second quarter. We know every different department has its specific work and you know you’re responsible towork together so that we can achieve our common aims. So now I want you to look back into the sale of the second quarter and give me more details. How can we change this situation? Anna?Marketingexecutive (Anna):Oh, I think our company needs to change the manufacturing process, because it is too complex. Workers always figured out a way to make mistake and cannot produce high-quality products. However, our competitor just bought many new machines for making the high-quality product. Therefore, we also need to buy new machines to change our manufacturing process.Financesupervisor(Mark): No, I don’t think it is a good way. First, we need spend much more money to buy new machines. And we also need to hire the worker who can operate the new machine. If we can’t improveour sales, we just waste money. I don’t think the stockholder will support this idea. On the other way, we can hire a consultant, who mayfigure out a way to change our manufacturing process. Productionsupervisor (Kerry): Maybe we can hire a consultant at first, but, if he can’t solve our problem and our sale can’t rise again, we have to buy new machines. We shouldalso open a training class and ask our workers to attend the class. The class can help the worker work more effective, andmeanwhile, we need to organize a group across different departments and the groupmembers will find a simple way to improvethe production. And the products in the warehousecan be soldthrough a new sales promotion.Manager (Melisa):You have different idea, and you need to consider which one can improve the sale, to evaluate which one is best one. I think the first thing we need to consider is to deal the products in the warehouse.Marketingexecutive(Anna):I think we can sell the products in a lower price until the quantity of products in the warehouse changes into a reasonable standard. Financesupervisor(Mark): It will have a bad effect on the profit. But on the other hand, it can help to avoid negative cash flow. As we get the cash, we can buy new machines, but if we can’t sell out the inventory of last quarter, we need to borrow the money. And I really want to the figure which one can improve the sale and help us to make a decision.Production supervisor(Kerry):Using machines will cut down on labor, produce a higher quality and create fewer errors on our products. If we buy new machines this month, we can improve our production by 10%, and reduce the cost of mistakes made by our workers by 15%, provided that our workers take training classes on how to operate the machine.Financial supervisor(Mark):If you are looking at a short-term basis, the cost is very high. It is really difficult to get much money in a short time especially during the period thatour share price is decreasing.Production supervisor(Kerry):But in the long run, it is actually worth it. The machines would depreciate within one year, and by the time when a year is over our workers would have learned how to operate these machines.Marketing executive(Anna):As for selling these products, I believe it has a not bad prospect. Buyers look for quality in their purchases. The cost will decrease as we produce more. First, this is a good start for our future promotion. And later on we are able to cut down the heavy cost of inventory. Then we would be able to have a more competitive advantage over our competitors if we can lower our price at suitable times and create a bigger group of our target market. Last but not least the products are easier to advertise.Manager(Melisa):In the long run, the inventory and new machine are necessarily needed, because they can help our company improve the competitive advantage. But, consider to the short run’s financial problem and the manage problem of the new way to produce, I think we can try to use the new machine to produce about 1/3 of the whole production in next season. And if it runs well, we can turn into using the new machine. Do you understand what I’m saying?三人齐声: Yes!Manager(Melisa):Now,let’s make our decision.Do you agree with me? Production Supervisor(Kerry):I agree.Marketing executive(Anna):Agree.Financial supervisor(Mark):Exactly agree.Manager(Melisa):Okay, all of you agree on buying new machines and having training classes. But I still need more details about this project, Kerry, you shouldmake a list of the new machines we need and plan how long the workers has to be trained.Production supervisor (Kerry): Okay, I will give you as soon as possible. Manager(Melisa):You should also send a copy to Mark. And I hope to get the specific financial information of this project from you, Mark. Financesupervisor(Mark): Okay.Manager(Melisa):Anna, you need to do a survey of the consumers ‘reaction to the new products and search the new way to advertise.Marketing executive(Anna):Yes, madam.Manager(Melisa):Okay, that’s all! The meeting is over now. What about having a lunch together?。

在项目中担任什么角色英语作文怎么写

在项目中担任什么角色英语作文怎么写For managers, in the process of implementing agile transformation, a very important link is to build an efficient and collaborative agile team. We often say that in the current management, if we can understand the management of people, many other things can be done naturally. The role theory of the belbin team is a theory put forward by Dr. belbin and his colleagues after years of research and practice in Australia and the UK. That is, efficient team work depends on tacit cooperation. Team members must be clear about the roles played by others and understand how to make up for each other's shortcomings and give full play to their advantages.According to berbin's team role theory, there are nine behavioral characteristics of everyone in the team, each of which has its advantages and disadvantages:There is no perfect individual, only a perfect team. What managers need to do is to identify everyone'sbehavior characteristics and match them with the appropriate positions. For example, in a project team, each position has its own role to play:In addition, the organizational structure of the team should be as flat as possible, because at different stages, team members with different roles are required to lead. Therefore, we should pay special attention to cultivating team members' awareness of active replacement - that is, when a team lacks the above nine team roles, its members should be able to enhance flexibility, actively realize the transformation of team roles, and make the team's temperament structure more reasonable as a whole, so as to better achieve the team's common performance goals. In this way, there may not be many leadership titles in the team, but everyone will have the corresponding leadership at the right time to make necessary contributions to the team. For example:As a team manager, knowing people and being good attheir duties are the basic qualities that must be possessed. When setting up a team, managers should fully understand the basic characteristics of each role, accommodate their shortcomings and employ their strengths. In practice, truly successful managers have a thorough understanding of the temperament characteristics of their subordinates, and only on this basis can the team be truly optimized in temperament structure and become a high-performance team.。
