It can be seen that there are fifty percent students in America get their money from their parents, but in China, there are ninety percent. In America, parents can give students 50% income sources. But in China parents can give 90%. American students’ 35% income sources from their part-time job and 15% income sources from their fellowship or scholarship. In China, the two number just is 5%. It’s difference than income source between Chinese and American students.

With delicious taste and unique shapes, dumplings are worth eating hundreds of times. There’s an old saying that claims, “Nothing could be more delicious than dumplings”. During the Spring Festival and other holidays or when treating relatives and friends, Chinese people like to follow the custom of eating dumplings.

Dumplings are one of the Chinese people’s favorite traditional dishes. According to an ancient Chinese legend, dumplings were first made by the medical saint---Zhang Zhongjing. There are three steps involved in making dumplings: 1) make dumpling wrappers out of dumpling flour; 2) prepare the dumpling stuffing; 3) make dumplings and boil them.

I think there are probably three reasons for their differences. First, because of the influence of different social and family values, Chinese students have formed the habit of asking for money from their parents while American students have developed more sense of being financially independent. Second, most Chinese parents devote too much care to their children and they would rather save up to afford their children’s education rather than encourage them to take part-time jobs. But in America, many parents pay more attention to developing the students’ ability of self-reliance, so they encourage their children to find part-time job to earn some money by themselves. Third, since America is more developed than China, it is relatively easy for students to find part-time jobs. In China, such opportunities are rather rare.

There are 5% of the students get money by doing part-time job, and 5% also by the fellowship or scholarship. American students’ income from parents is 50%, but Chinese students’ income from parents is 90%. The half of income sources of American students that they need come from their parents. What’s more, they make money by doing part-time job and win the fellowship or scholarship. Thus, that is to say, American students get income almost by themselves. 35% American students do part-time job when they are free, while only 5% Chinese students take part-time job at their spare time.
