2. Definition of Literature
Robert Frost’s definition: performance in words Modern definition: We cartistically used to achieve identifiable literary qualities and to convey meaningful messages. Literature is characterized by beauty of expression and form and by universality intellectual and emotional appeal.
1. What Is Literature?
A book (novel or poetry, or other forms) is the common form of literature but not every book can rank as literature. With the development of the Internet, Web and QQ space, or like, has gained in popularity. It seems that every one, if you like, can write whatever he/she wants, and shows it to the public. People are fond of writing things on internet, even gossip, these kind of writing things can not be called literature for the literary sake. Not all writing things can have a literature sense, nor can every man who writes will become a writer, for example, the first man who writes: “my love to you is as deep as the sea” is a genius, but the second one is illiteracy.

1.weep v. eg. They wept over / for their failure. The child wept with disappointment.
