小学四年级英语作文我的城市上海

小学四年级英语作文我的城市上海

小学四年级英语作文我的城市上海全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Wonderful City, ShanghaiHello everyone! My name is Xiao Ming and I am a 9-year-old student in the 4th grade. Today, I want to tell you all about my incredible city - Shanghai! It's one of the biggest and most amazing cities in the whole world. Just thinking about Shanghai makes me super excited!Where should I start? Maybe I'll begin by telling you how Shanghai looks. The city skyline is unbelievable, with tons of skyscrapers reaching up into the clouds. At night, the buildings light up in dazzling colors, turning Shanghai into a twinkling wonderland. My favorite is the Oriental Pearl TV Tower - it's so tall and has these bright spheres that make it look like a Space Age lollipop! But Shanghai isn't just about modern buildings. We also have plenty of cool older architecture too, like classical gardens with pretty pagodas and ponds full of koi fish. One of my favorite places is the Yuyuan Garden which dates back to the 1500s. Itfeels like stepping back in time when you walk through its winding paths and stone archways.I have to tell you about Shanghai's incredible food next. We're known as a foodie paradise, with the most delicious cuisines from all over China and the world. On the weekends, my parents often take me to hairy crab season is in the fall - try waiting in a line for hours to get your hands on those tasty crustaceans! I also love shengjianbao, which are soup dumplings with hot broth inside. Slurping them up is so much fun. For dessert, I go crazy for dragon's beard candy - that sugary treat is stretchy and chewy and melts in your mouth. You know what else makes Shanghai amazing? All the fun activities and incredible sights! The Shanghai Circus World is a must-see, with daring acrobats swinging from trapezes and motorbike daredevils looping inside a globe of death. I also love the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium - you can see awesome sharks, rays, and thousands of other marine creatures there. And we have Disneyland too! Nothing beats a day of riding rollercoasters and watching spectacular shows with my best friends. But my very favorite thing about living in Shanghai might be the holidays and festivals we celebrate. The most magical one is Chinese New Year - the whole city gets decorated with lanterns, dragons, and tons of red and gold decor. I look forward to the incredible New Year's Eve fireworks show over the Huangpu River every year. It's so bright and loud and exciting! We also have great celebrations for the Qingming Festival where we go sweep and clean our ancestors' graves, and the Mid-Autumn Festival where we eat delicious mooncakes and admire the full moon.I feel so lucky to be growing up in a city as vibrant and thrilling as Shanghai. We have the perfect mix of history, culture, entertainment, and cuisine here. I can't wait to see what other amazing experiences Shanghai will bring as I get older. Maybe someday I'll even get to be in the incredible New Year's celebration in the Bund! No matter what, I know my beloved city will always have surprises in store.Well, that's all for my essay about the wonderful place I call home. I hope you enjoyed learning about Shanghai through my eyes. It really is an incredible, world-class city that makes me proud every single day. I'm a happy kid who feels so fortunate to live in such an exciting, dynamic environment. Shanghai is the best!篇2My Beautiful City ShanghaiShanghai is my home city and I love it so much! It is one of the biggest cities in China and the whole world. So many people live here and there are always lots of exciting things happening. Let me tell you all about the amazing place I'm lucky enough to call home.Shanghai is a very old city with a long history going back over 700 years. But it has also become a modern, global city with incredible skyscrapers and technology everywhere you look. The historic parts of the city like the Bund, Yu Garden, and the Old Town are so cool to explore. The Bund is this awesome area along the Huangpu River with colonial European-style buildings. Yu Garden is an amazing traditional Chinese garden first built in the 1500s with beautiful pavilions, ponds, and rock formations. And the Old Town has laneways called lilong where you can wander and see what Shanghai used to look like a long time ago.But Shanghai is also incredibly futuristic and high-tech nowadays too. We have the second-tallest tower in the world called the Shanghai Tower that's 632 meters tall! Just looking up at it makes my neck hurt. Pudong is the new financial district of the city and it's filled with skyscrapers as far as the eye can see. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is this iconic tower that looks like agiant spaceship landed in the city. And everything is so modern with subway systems, electric cars, and advanced technology everywhere you go.The food here is out of this world! As a major Chinese city, we have incredible cuisine from all over the country. My favorites are xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan-fried dumplings), and jianbing (crispy crepes). The taste of a perfectly cooked xiaolongbao with that burst of hot soup when you bite into it is unbeatable! But we also have lots of international cuisine like American burgers and fries, Italian pizza and pasta, Japanese sushi and ramen, and food from all over the world. You'll never go hungry in this city, that's for sure.Because Shanghai is such a huge, global city, we have incredible entertainment and activities too. The nightlife here is famous around the world with futuristic nightclubs, bars, and an incredible music scene. The shopping is out of this world with massive malls and markets selling everything you can dream of. We have two Disney parks - Disneyland and the brand new Disneytown. And there are so many other theme parks, arcades, virtual reality experiences, and more. Sometimes I feel like a kid in a candy store with all the fun stuff to do!However, my favorite thing about Shanghai is probably the amazing architecture and parks. I love walking along the Bund and seeing the unique buildings reflecting in the river. The Shanghai World Financial Center has this iconic circular hole at the top that looks so cool. People's Park in the city center is a huge green space right in the middle of the skyscrapers where you can relax and get some fresh air. And we have an incredible Metro system that can take you all over the city quickly and easily.Of course, like any huge city, Shanghai does have some downsides too. The traffic can be absolutely crazy with seemingly endless cars and crowds of people everywhere you go. The cost of living here is extremely high compared to other parts of China. And the air pollution can get quite bad from all the construction, traffic, and factories around the city. But in my opinion, the amazing aspects of Shanghai definitely make up for the negatives. All in all, I feel so lucky to be growing up in the incredible city of Shanghai. It truly blends the ancient and modern in one exciting, global metropolis. The history, architecture, cuisine, entertainment, and overall energy make it one of the greatest cities in the world in my book. While the traffic, costs, andpollution can be frustrating, you can't beat living in the heart of such an iconic place. Shanghai is my home and I love showing it off to anyone who will listen! If you ever get the chance to visit, you absolutely must - just be prepared for your mind to be blown by this city like none other.篇3My Wonderful City, ShanghaiHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I am a 4th-grade student at Shanghai World Foreign Language Primary School. Today, I want to tell you all about my amazing city, Shanghai. It's a place that fills me with joy and pride.Shanghai is a massive, bustling city located on the east coast of China. With over 24 million people living here, it's one of the biggest cities in the world! Just imagine – that's like having the entire population of Australia crammed into one city. Isn't that crazy? But don't let the size fool you. Shanghai is an incredibly modern and beautiful city. Everywhere you look, there are towering skyscrapers that seem to touch the clouds. My favorite is the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. At night, it lights up with dazzling colors and looks like a giant colorful lollipop against the nightsky. I also love the futuristic-looking Shanghai Tower which is one of the tallest buildings in the world!Shanghai is often called the "Oriental Paris" because of its charming historic areas that blend so well with the modern cityscape. The Bund is one such place – it's a lovely waterfront area lined with grand European-style buildings from the 1800s and 1900s. I love walking along the Bund and watching the boats cruising down the mighty Huangpu River. On the other side of the river is the mind-blowing Lujiazui financial district filled with breathtaking skyscrapers like the Shanghai Tower and the bottle opener-shaped Shanghai World Financial Center. The contrast between the historic Bund and the glossy modern skyline is what makes Shanghai so visually stunning.Another area I adore is Yuyuan Garden in the Old City area. Built over 400 years ago, it's a meticulously designed classical Chinese garden with beautiful pavilions, ponds, bridges, and rock formations. It's like stepping back in time to ancient China! The whole area surrounding the garden is a a maze of narrow streets lined with traditional buildings, delicious Chinese snack stalls, and fun souvenir shops. I can spend hours just wandering around and exploring.Speaking of food, Shanghai has some of the world's tastiest and most unique cuisine. As a local, I'm quite the foodie! Myall-time favorite is xiaolongbao – those addictive little soup dumplings that burst with flavorful broth when you bite into them. I could honestly eat them for every meal! Other must-try dishes are shengjianbao (pan-fried pork buns), jianbing (crispy crepe with egg and other fillings), and congyoubing (flaky scallion pancakes). Just writing about all this food is making me hungry! What I love most about Shanghai though is how exciting and lively it is. There's always something fun happening around every corner. Whether it's the incredible acrobatic shows, lively markets, dazzling nightlife, world-class museums, or massive shopping malls, you'll never be bored in this city. And let's not forget about the epic Chinese New Year celebrations with colorful lasers, fireworks, dragon dances, and more! Shanghai really knows how to party.Of course, living in such a huge city has its downsides too. The traffic can be absolutely horrible, with seemingly endless traffic jams on the roads and subways packed like sardine cans during rush hour. The air pollution gets quite bad some days too. And house prices are ridiculously expensive because everyonewants to live here! But in my opinion, the incredible experiences and opportunities that Shanghai offers more than make up for these small inconveniences. In the future, I hope Shanghai continues developing in an environmentally-friendly way with more green spaces, cleaner air, and amazing sustainable buildings. I can't wait to see what amazing advances will shape this city in years to come. No matter how modern it becomes though, I hope it retains its unique culture and the perfect blend of East and West that makes it so special.I feel so fortunate to grow up in and call Shanghai my home. To me, it truly is one of the most vibrant, thrilling, and incredible cities in the entire world. I hope you all get a chance to visit this dazzling place someday and experience the magic for yourselves. Shanghai is a city like no other!。

游览上海的经历英语作文80词左右全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1I went to Shanghai with my family last summer. It was so cool! We saw the huge Shanghai Tower that looked like a twisty bottle opener. The Bund was my favorite with old European buildings along the river. We took a boat cruise and I saw the super tall skyscrapers all lit up at night. We ate lots of yummy dumplings and noodles. I want to go back to Shanghai again!Last summer, my parents surprised me and my little brother with a trip to Shanghai! I had learned a little bit about Shanghai in school, but I was so excited to experience it for myself. The first morning, we went up to the top of the enormously tall Shanghai Tower. My brother was a little scared of the glass floor at first, but then he thought it was really neat to look straight down. I could see the whole city laid out below me like a gigantic model train set with buildings, roads, the winding river, and green parks. It was awesome! After that, we visited the Bund, which is this cool area along the Huangpu River. There are a bunch of historic banks andhotels that were built long ago in different European styles. I loved looking at all the intricate stone carvings and big arched windows and doors. Across the river were all of the crazy futuristic skyscrapers that Shanghai is famous for. At night, they were all lit up in different neon colors which reflected on the river. We took a river cruise along the Huangpu one evening and I got to see the entire iconic Shanghai skyline. The bottle opener looking thing is actually a giant twisty skyscraper called the Shanghai Tower. There was also the Pearl Tower which looked like a giant sphere on stilts. I pretended the lights on it were lasers shooting from an alien spacecraft! My little brother thought that was really funny. One of the best parts was definitely the food. For breakfast one day, we had delicious soup dumplings called xiaolongbao. You have to carefully pick them up with your chopsticks and nibble a little hole in the side to drink the flavorful broth inside before devouring the whole thing. We also had tons ofhand-pulled noodles in different dishes - wide ribbons, long strings, bundles that looked like nests. I tried using chopsticks but kept dropping the noodles at first. By the end of the trip I had gotten pretty good at it!We spent a fun morning visiting Yu Garden, which is this giant traditional Chinese garden filled with beautiful pavilions, rock gardens, ponds, and sculpted miniature landscapes. I loved checking out all the intricate carved wooden rooms and walkways. There were also singers performing classic Chinese operas for visitors. Their singing sounded really interesting but also kind of strange to my American ears.Another awesome place we went was the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum. They had this gigantic sphere in the middle with different science exhibits about the human body, astronomy, dinosaurs, you name it! I got to experience what it feels like during an earthquake in their simulation room. They also had a section all about robots where you could control a robot arm to pick up and move around objects. So cool!My little brother's favorite part was probably the Shanghai Toy Museum. It was full of vintage toys from China and around the world - creepy old dolls, tin wind-up toys, elaborate antique model train sets, and more. They even had an entire massive Lego village scene. He could have spent all day in there playing with everything!Towards the end of our trip, we visited the Zhujiajiao water town in a nearby suburb. It was like stepping back in time to anancient Chinese village with little boats peddling down canals between old buildings and bridge footpaths. We had fun exploring all the little alleyways and shops selling traditional snacks and crafts. I picked out a few souvenirs like a silky embroidered fan and a small ceramic pot painted with a dragon on it.On our very last night in Shanghai, we went up to the viewing deck of one of the huge skyscrapers along the Bund to get one final look at the incredible lit-up skyline. I felt so small and yet so amazed looking out over the bright city lights and massive glowing skyscrapers. Shanghai seemed liked the most futuristic place on earth!I had such an awesome time in Shanghai. It's such a unique city that blends ancient Chinese history and culture with incredible modern skylines and technology. We were able to experience so many different sides of Shanghai - the gardens, the food, the toys, the science, and more! I can't wait to go back someday and see what other adventures Shanghai has in store.篇2My Amazing Trip to Shanghai!Wow, my trip to Shanghai was the best! I had never been to such a huge city before. The skyscrapers seemed to touch the clouds and the streets were packed with people and cars zooming everywhere. We visited the Bund first. I had never seen such acool-looking group of buildings all lined up together along the river. The colonial European architecture was so beautiful and unique. I felt like I had stepped back in time! From there, we went to Yu Garden. I loved walking through the classic Chinese gardens and pavilions. The little bridges arching over the ponds with the koi fish swimming underneath were picture perfect. I kept expecting to see an emperor strolling by!Next up was the Shanghai Tower. At 632 meters, it's one of the tallest buildings in the world. The view from the observatory on the 118th floor was totally insane! I have never seen a city that massive stretched out below me. I felt like I could see the entire world from up there. We spent the afternoon exploring the French Concession area. The tree-lined streets with Tudor mansions and European cafes made me feel like I was in Paris or London, not Shanghai. I loved all the little boutiques and artsy shops tucked away.On our last day, we visited the Zhujiajiao water town. Wandering the narrow alleys and cruising along the canals in a little boat was so peaceful and relaxing, a nice break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Shanghai. The old Ming and Qing dynasty buildings were hauntingly beautiful.Shanghai blew me away with its incredible mix of modern and ancient, East and West. From skyscraper forests to water towns, it has something for everyone. I'll never forget the amazing experiences I had during my unforgettable trip to one of the world's most fascinating cities!篇3My Amazing Trip to Shanghai!Wow, I just got back from the most amazing trip to Shanghai, China with my family! It was the first time I had ever been out of the country, and I was so excited. I had seen pictures of the huge skyscrapers and bright lights, but nothing could have prepared me for how incredible it really was.The first thing I noticed when we landed was how warm and humid it was compared to back home. I was sweating like crazy before we even left the airport! My mom said it was because Shanghai is right on the coast, so it gets that sticky ocean air. Shetold me I'd get used to it, but I'm not sure I ever really did during our week there. Our hotel was so tall, with tons of bright lights and fancy decorations everywhere you looked. The lobby had these huge crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling that sparkled like diamonds. I could hardly believe normal people were allowed to just walk around in a place like that! Our room was on the 28th floor, and we had a balcony with an incredible view of the city skyline. I had never seen so many skyscrapers clustered together before. At night, the neon lights made it look like something from a futuristic movie. One of the coolest things we did was go up to the top observation deck of the Shanghai World Financial Center tower. It's one of the tallest buildings in the world at 1,614 feet! The views from up there were mind-blowing. You could see the entire city laid out below, with the winding Huangpu River cutting through the middle of it all. My dad pointed out Pudong on one side, which used to be just empty fields and farms until they started building it up into a giant business district in the 1990s. Apparently there are more skyscrapers there than in all of New York City. Crazy! We also spent a day walking around the Bund, which is this awesome riverside area lined with historical buildings and modern skyscrapers side-by-side. The colonial European architecture was so pretty and detailed, like something from an old movie set. And just across the river were those wild futuristic towers of Pudong towering above it all. I felt like I had traveled through different centuries just by turning my head!I also got to experience a bit of the more traditional side of Chinese culture by visiting the amazing Yu Garden in the old city area. It was built all the way back in 1559 by this guy who needed an incredible garden to match his wealth and status. And let me tell you, he succeeded! The whole place was filled with these intricate wooden buildings with upturned roofs, winding pathways, beautiful ponds, and lush gardens. I felt like I had been transported back hundreds of years to ancient China. It was like something straight out of a kung-fu movie.Probably the most fun I had though was simply wandering around the busy streets and markets. There were so many sights, sounds and smells everywhere you looked! Vendors would shout at you trying to sell everything from cheap souvenirs to live creatures in cages (don't worry Mom, I stayed far away from those!). The smells ranged from delicious street foods likecandied fruit and grilled squid, to...well, let's just say not everything smelled so great. It was all part of the amazing chaos and energy of the city though!I have to admit, by the end of the week I was definitely ready for a break from the intense heat, crowds, and nonstop activity of Shanghai. But I'm so grateful I got to experience such an incredible place at a young age. Not many kids from my small town ever get to travel abroad like that! Shanghai opened my eyes to how big and amazing this world really is. I can't wait to start exploring more of it as I get older. Who knows, maybe I'll even move to a fascinating city like that someday? For now though, I'm just happy to be back home eating Mom's cooking and sleeping in my own bed again. But I'll never forget the incredible sights and adventures I had in Shanghai!篇4My Amazing Trip to Shanghai!Wow, I just got back from the most incredible trip to Shanghai and I can't wait to tell you all about it! But it also has a deep culture and history that made me feel like I was taking a journey back in time. Let me tell you all about my adventure in this one-of-a-kind city!First off, the buildings and architecture in Shanghai blew my mind. The city skyline is like nothing I've ever seen, with massive skyscrapers and unique structures as far as the eye can see. My favorite was the Oriental Pearl TV Tower – it's this gigantic sphere on a tall tower that sparkles with colorful lights at night. I felt so small looking up at it! The Shanghai Tower is another crazy tall building in the city. At over 2,000 feet high, it's one of the tallest in the world! From the top, you can see the entire citystretched out below you. There were traditional buildings, market stalls selling exotic snacks and souvenirs, and the cutest little gardens tucked away here and there. I tried on some cool outfits from the olden days and my little sister got her face painted with traditional designs.Speaking of traditions, we got to experience so many in Shanghai. One of my favorites was watching an amazing acrobatics show at the Shanghai Circus World. The performers twisted, flipped, and contorted their bodies in the mostmind-blowing ways. Whenever I gaze up at them, I'm reminded ofhow quickly this city has grown and changed over the years into a global powerhouse. The Shanghai Tower is currently the tallest building in China at over 2,000 feet high! I've been up to the observatory deck and the views are simply out of this world. You can literally see for miles and miles in every direction. But Shanghai isn't just impressive skyscrapers and bright lights. We also have incredible examples of historical architecture that give a window into China's rich cultural heritage. The Yuyuan Garden in the Old City is my favorite. It was built over400 years ago during the Ming Dynasty and has eaten beautifully preserved with its exquisite pagodas, rockeries, ponds and pavilions. Walking through feels like traveling back in time!Shanghai is also a food-lover's paradise. We have amazing cuisine from all over China and the world here. My personal favorite is xiaolongbao, the iconic little soup dumplings that were invented right here. But we also have incredible noodle dishes, delicious hairy crab in the winter, and some of the best international fare you'll find anywhere. The city's food scene is just endless!Of course, no description of Shanghai would be complete without mentioning the annual Spring Festival or Chinese New Year celebrations. The festivities and decorations are simply mind-blowing! There are huge lantern displays, dragon dances, fireworks, and special holiday markets and events all across the city. My family and I always have an absolute blast ringing in the new year Shanghai-style.Those are just a few of the countless reasons why I am head-over-heels in love with this city. From the traditional gardens and historic alleyways, to the towering modern skyline and glitzy entertainment districts, Shanghai blends classic Chinese culture with cutting-edge development in such a uniqueand breathtaking way. I feel so fortunate to be growing up surrounded by this incredible intersection of China's past, present and future.I could honestly go on and on, but I'll stop here for now. I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about why Shanghai holds such a special place in my heart. It truly is one of the world's most amazing cities, filled with unmatched energy, culture and scenery. I'm counting down the days until I can explore and experience more of its wonders!篇5My Amazing City - Shanghai!Wow, I'm so excited to tell you about my incredible city - Shanghai! It's a huge, bustling place with towering skyscrapers, brilliant lights at night, and so much cool stuff to see and do. Shanghai is truly one of the most amazing cities in the whole world.First, let me tell you about the long history and culture behind Shanghai. It's a really old city that goes back over 700 years! Can you believe people have been living there since the 1200s? Back then, it was just a small town, but it grew and grew over the centuries into the massive metropolis it is today.Because of its long history, Shanghai has absorbed influences from many different cultures. You can see this in the architecture around the city. There are traditional Chinese buildings with upturned roofs and intricate carvings. But there are also grand European-style buildings left over from when people from the West first came to Shanghai in the 1800s. The Bund area along the Huangpu River has an amazing row of banks and trading houses that look like they came straight out of London or Paris!Shanghai was one of the most important cities in the world for trade back in those days. People came from all over - Britain, France, America, Japan, and more - to buy and sell things in Shanghai. So the city became this crazy mix of Eastern and Western cultures all blending together. You can still see that unique Shanghai culture today in the food, arts, neighborhoods, and people.Speaking of food, let me tell you about some of the incredible dishes you can find in Shanghai! Being a coastal city, there is amazingly fresh seafood. My favorite is xiaolongbao - those delicious soupy dumplings. But there's also shengjianbao which are pan-fried baos, jianbing which are crispy crepes, and so much more. Shanghai cuisine is a blend of regional Chinesestyles along with influences from all the foreign traders who used to pass through. It's some of the most delicious food in the entire world! Now let's talk about the incredible sights and scenes around modern Shanghai. The first thing you notice is just how tall everything is! There are so many skyscrapers and massive buildings. The tallest ones are in the mind-blowing Pudong area across the river from the Bund. At night, the whole forest of towers lights up in dazzling colors and wild light shows. It's like something out of a futuristic movie! Then there are the neighborhoods and markets that make Shanghai so vibrant and alive. I love wandering through pockets of old Shanghai like Tianzifang with its winding alleys and courtyard homes. The Yu Garden is an amazing example of traditional Chinese architecture and gardens right in the heart of the city. And the markets! Oh man, the Fabric Market, Pearl Market, and Antique Markets are like endless mazes filled with vendors selling everything you can imagine.Of course, you can't forget Shanghai's incredible museums, theaters, and cultural attractions either. The Shanghai Museum has an amazing collection of ancient Chinese art and artifacts. The Shanghai Circus World is a cutting-edge theater putting ondazzling acrobatic shows. And cool spots like the Shanghai Urban Sculpture Park and Bund Sightseeing Tunnel let you explore the city's modern art and architecture. But you know what I love most about Shanghai? It's the constant feeling of energy and excitement everywhere you go! There are always people out and about, incredible street food smells in the air, dazzling lights and sights to take in. Shanghai never stops moving! It's a city that celebrates the new while connecting to its deep roots. Modern skyscrapers tower over historic temples and neighborhoods. Mind-blowing technology meets celebrated traditions. East fuses with West in a way you'll never see anywhere else on Earth. That's the real magic of Shanghai.I feel so lucky to be growing up in this amazing,one-of-a-kind city. Shanghai has such an incredible culture that blends its Chinese heritage with global influences. The sights, the sounds, the tastes - they're all so vibrant and unique. From the stunning skyline to the bustling streets, there's always something new to experience in my wonderful home of Shanghai!篇6My City, ShanghaiHi everyone! Today I want to tell you all about my amazing city, Shanghai. It's the biggest city in China and one of the biggest in the whole world! Shanghai is located right on the coast in eastern China. It sits along the Huangpu River which flows into the Yangtze River and then out into the East China Sea.Shanghai has such a cool history. It used to be a small fishing village, but then in 1842 it became one of the cities opened up for trade with the West after the Opium Wars. People from all over started coming to Shanghai to work and do business. Neighborhoods for foreigners from countries like Britain, France, and the U.S. popped up all around the city center. You can still see some of the old buildings from that time, especially along the Bund waterfront area downtown. The Bund is this awesome place with a big wide walkway and rows of beautiful historic bank buildings and hotels on one side, and then directly across the river is the stunning modern Pudong skyline! The contrast of the old and new architecture is just breathtaking.Speaking of Pudong, that's probably Shanghai's most famous area nowadays. Pudong used to just be fields and farms, but starting in the 1990s the government decided to develop it into a brand new financial district and urban area from scratch. They built so many enormous skyscrapers and towers there injust a few decades! The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is Pudong's most iconic landmark - it's this gigantic spherical tower that lights up at night in different colors. You can go up to the observational decks and see the entire city from up high. It's wild! Other famous Pudong sights are the Shanghai Tower (it was the tallest building in China until recently), the Shanghai World Financial Center with its unique hole in the top, and the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium which is one of the biggest aquariums ever. So much cool stuff to explore in Pudong. But Shanghai has lots of other awesome areas too besides just Pudong and the Bund. There's the French Concession, where the streets have these characteristic green shaded lanes with trees and cute little villas from the 1920s. I love wandering around Xintiandi which is this hip residential area filled with traditional shikumen houses that have been turned into boutiques, cafes, and art galleries. And Yuyuan Garden in the Old City area is just gorgeous - it's this massive classical Chinese garden from the 1500s filled with pagodas, rockeries, ponds, and cherry blossom trees.I can't talk about Shanghai without mentioning the food - it's out of this world delicious! Shanghai has incredible cuisine from all the different regions of China but it's most famous forxiaolongbao (soup dumplings), shengjianbao (pan-fried dumplings), hongshao rou (braised pork belly), and niangao (glutinous rice cakes). I LOVE xiaolongbao - the hot soup inside the dumpling is just the best! But you can also find food from all around the world here like French bakeries, Japanese sushi places, Middle Eastern falafel shops, and more. My family and I are always trying new restaurants.Shanghai gets a bad rap sometimes for being too modern and urban, but it actually has a ton of awesome parks and green spaces too! My favorite is Century Park - it's this gigantic park in the Pudong area filled with gardens, lakes, trails, and even has an awesome amusement park inside called Happy Valley. I also love going to Fuxing Park which has these beautiful French-style gardens and lotus ponds. And Gongqing Forest Park has tons of hiking trails through the woods - it feels like you've left the city entirely when you're there! This city is always buzzing with events, festivals, and activities no matter what time of year. In the spring we celebrate Qingming Festival by flying kites and visiting ancestors' graves. The Longhua Temple has gorgeous cherry blossoms that bloom for a few weeks. In the summer there are awesome spots to go cool off like the Shanghai Indoor Swimming Park (it has wavepools inside!) and the Shanghai Bund Beach Park which makes an artificial beach along the river. Fall is incredible for the stunning scenery as the trees change colors. And my favorite is Chinese New Year celebrations in the winter when the entire city is lit up with millions of lanterns and lights for the holiday. There are unbelievable fireworks shows, dragon dances, temple fairs, and more!I hope you can see why I love living in Shanghai so much. It's such a dynamic, vibrant, world-class city that blends the modern and traditional so perfectly. The breathtaking architecture, rich history and culture, unbeatable food scene, beautiful parks, and non-stop calendar of events and activities make it an amazing place. Shanghai embodies all the energy, growth, and diversity of China while honoring its past. I feel so lucky to call this city my home! Maybe you can come visit sometime and experience the magic of Shanghai for yourself.。

上海外滩老照片的作文英语

上海外滩老照片的作文英语As I leaf through the album of old photographs, my eyes are drawn to a series of black and white images that capture the essence of Shanghai's Bund in its heyday. These vintage photos, with their faded tones and grainy textures, tell a story of a city that was once the epicenter of trade and culture in the Far East. The first photo depicts the iconic skyline of the Bund, with its colonial buildings standing tall along the Huangpu River. The architecture is a blend of European styles, a testament to the city's rich history as a treaty port. The Customs House, with its clock tower, stands out, a symbol of thecity's economic pulse. The banks and trading houses that line the riverfront are a reminder of Shanghai's past as a financial powerhouse. In the next photo, the bustling street scene comes to life. Pedestrians in traditional Chinese attire and Western suits walk side by side, a testament to the city's cosmopolitan nature. Rickshaws and early automobiles share the streets, illustrating the transition from old to new. Street vendors hawk their wares, and the air is filled with the chatter of merchants and the clatter of commerce.A particularly striking image shows the social life of the Bund. The picture captures a group of well-dressedindividuals enjoying an afternoon at the park, a commonleisure activity during that era. The men wear hats and suits, while the women are adorned in elegant qipao, the traditional Chinese dress. The scene is one of tranquility and sophistication, a stark contrast to the city's fast-paced business district.Another photo that catches my attention is of the waterfront promenade. The Bund, or "Wai Tan" in Chinese, was named forits location outside the city walls. The promenade is lined with trees, and the view of the river is unobstructed. The photo captures the essence of the Bund as a place for relaxation and contemplation, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The final photo in the series is a nighttime shot of the Bund, with the buildings illuminated against the dark sky. Thelights of the city reflect off the water, creating a shimmering effect that adds to the allure of the scene. The night view of the Bund is a sight to behold, with the city's energy palpable even in the stillness of the photo. These old photos of Shanghai's Bund are more than just historical records; they are windows into a past that continues to influence the present. The Bund today retains much of its old charm while embracing modernity, making it a place where history and contemporary life intersect. As Iclose the album, I am left with a sense of wonder and adesire to explore the Bund in person, to walk the streetsthat have been immortalized in these timeless images.。

五年级去上海旅行的英语作文儿

五年级去上海旅行的英语作文儿This past summer, my fifth-grade class had the opportunity to take a trip to the incredible city of Shanghai. As one of the most vibrant and dynamic cities in the world, Shanghai had always been a place I had dreamed of visiting and I was thrilled to finally have the chance. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the bustling energy, the towering skyscrapers, and the rich cultural heritage that permeated every corner of the city. Our first stop was the iconic Bund, a renowned waterfront area that showcases some of Shanghai's most impressive architecture. As we strolled along the promenade, I was struck by the juxtaposition of the historic buildings on one side of the Huangpu River and the modern, gleaming towers on the other. It was like stepping into a scene from the future and the past simultaneously. We spent hours exploring the area, taking in the breathtaking views and snapping countless photos to capture the memories. One of the highlights of the trip for me was our visit to the Shanghai Museum. As someone who has always been fascinated by historyand culture, I was eager to learn more about the rich heritage of this remarkable city. The museum's extensive collection of ancient artifacts, ranging from intricate jade carvings to stunning bronze statues, provided a fascinating glimpse into China's past. I was particularly captivated by the calligraphy and painting exhibits, which showcased the incredible artistry and skill of Chinese masters throughout the centuries.Another memorable experience was our visit to the Shanghai Tower, the second-tallest building in the world. The journey to the observation deck on the 118th floor was an adventure in itself, with the high-speed elevator whisking us up to the top in a matter of minutes. Once we reached the top, the panoramic views of the city were simply breathtaking. I stood in awe, taking in the sprawling cityscape that stretched out before me, the skyscrapers reaching towards the sky like modern-day giants. I was particularly impressed by the diversity of flavors and the intricate preparation that went into each dish. It was a true feast for the senses, and Ifound myself eagerly trying new and unfamiliar foods, eager to expand my palate and immerse myself in the local culinary culture. One of the most meaningful experiences of the trip, however, was our visit to the Shanghai World Financial Center. As a budding entrepreneur, I was fascinated by the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a global financial hub. We were given a tour of the building, including a visit to the trading floor, where we witnessed the fast-paced and high-stakes world of international finance. It was a eye-opening experience, and I came away with a deeper appreciation for the complexities and importance of the financial industry.Throughout the trip, I was constantly in awe of the sheer scale and ambition of Shanghai. The city seemed to represent the embodiment of China's rapid modernization and economic growth, with towering skyscrapers, bustling streets, and a relentless energy that was both exhilarating and overwhelming. At the same time, I was struck by the deep-rooted traditions and cultural heritage that coexisted alongside the city's modern facade. From the tranquil gardens and temples to the vibrant street markets, there was a richness and diversity to Shanghai that I found truly captivating. As our trip drew to a close, I found myself reflecting on the incredible experiences we had shared. The memories of the breathtaking views, the delicious food, and the fascinating cultural insights would stay with me long after we had returned home. But more than that, I felt a profound sense of gratitude for the opportunity to have visited this remarkable city. Shanghai had opened my eyes to a whole new world, and I knew that this trip would have a lasting impact on my perspective and my aspirations for the future. In the end, the trip to Shanghai was not just a vacation, but a transformative experience that had the power to shape my worldview and inspire me to dream bigger. As I look back on those unforgettable days, I am filled with a deep sense of appreciation for the chance to have explored this incredible city, and I am already eagerly anticipating the day when I can return and discover even more of its wonders.。

A Memorable Trip to Shanghai。

Last summer, I embarked on a journey to Shanghai, a bustling metropolis in China known for its rich culture, modern architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. This trip turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life, filled with excitement, discovery, and unforgettable moments. As I stepped off the plane and into the bustling streets of Shanghai, I was immediately captivated by the energy and dynamism of the city. The skyscrapers seemed toreach endlessly into the sky, casting long shadows over the bustling streets below. Everywhere I looked, there was a sense of constant motion and activity, as people hurried past, lost in their own worlds. One of the first things that struck me about Shanghai was its incredible blend of old and new. On one hand, there were the historic neighborhoods of the city, with their narrow alleyways, traditional tea houses, and ancient temples. Walking through these streets felt like stepping back in time, as if I were witnessing centuries of history unfolding before my eyes.On the other hand, there were the modern marvels of Shanghai, such as the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower, the futuristic skyscrapers of Pudong, and the bustling shopping districts of Nanjing Road and Xintiandi. These towering structures seemed to symbolize the city's relentless drive towards progress and innovation, standing as testaments to Shanghai's status as a global economic powerhouse.During my time in Shanghai, I had the opportunity toexplore many of its famous landmarks and attractions. I marveled at the breathtaking views from the observation deck of the Shanghai World Financial Center, wandered through the tranquil gardens of Yu Garden, and experienced the vibrant nightlife of the Bund. But perhaps the most memorable part of my trip was the chance to immerse myself in Shanghai's rich and diverse culture. I sampled traditional Shanghai cuisine, such as xiaolongbao and shengjianbao, at local restaurants and street stalls, and attended a captivating performance of traditional Chinese opera at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.I also had the opportunity to interact with the friendly and welcoming people of Shanghai, who were always eager to share their stories and experiences with me. Whether I was chatting with a local shopkeeper, bargaining with a street vendor, or simply admiring the view from a riverside park, I felt a deep sense of connection to this vibrant and dynamic city.As my time in Shanghai came to an end, I found myselfreluctant to leave this incredible city behind. But as I boarded the plane back home, I knew that the memories of my time in Shanghai would stay with me forever, serving as a constant reminder of the beauty, diversity, and vitality of this remarkable city.In conclusion, my trip to Shanghai was an unforgettable experience that opened my eyes to the wonders of this dynamic and vibrant city. From its ancient temples and historic neighborhoods to its modern skyscrapers and bustling streets, Shanghai is a place like no other, a city where the past and the present collide in a mesmerizing fusion of culture, tradition, and innovation. I feel incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to explore this incredible city, and I look forward to the day when I can return and experience its magic once again.。
