Like when the Kaiju ripped through the hull of a ship and there was this shocking shot of the sailors getting munched on as they tumbled into the Kaiju's gaping maw. That was terrifying! But most of the fighting and destruction was just between the Jaegers and Kaiju, not involving many human casualties which was a relief.The story was pretty simple - humans trying to cancel the apocalypse by defeating the endless onslaught of Kaiju emerging from the Breach in the Pacific. But it had enough character depth and emotional arcs to give it heart beyond just being a mindless monster battle flick. Raleigh's guilt over his brother's death, Mako's tragic childhood memory of a Kaiju attack, the underdogs trying to win against all odds - those emotional storylines pulled me in amidst all the explosive action scenes.My only complaint was that the final climactic battle at the end wrapped up maybe a little too quickly after such an epic build-up over two hours. But those final scenes inside the Breachwere visually splendid. Seeing Gipsy Danger fire that killer missile blast into the Breach portal before initiating her self-destruct sequence was simply jaw-dropping!Overall, Pacific Rim has instantly become one of my favorite movies of all time. The nonstop giant monster-versus-robot battle scenes combined with the stunning special effects and likable heroes made it an adrenaline-packed thrill ride from start to finish. I loved watching her kick butt!My heart was pounding during the big final battle when the rangers had to make a last stand against these two massively powerful Kaiju - a huge one named Scunner and an even bigger beastly one called Slattern. 为了抵御海洋怪兽们越来越频繁的攻击，人类启动了一项名为贼鸥(Jaeger)的军事计划，组建了一支配备有最顶尖科技装备的军队对来犯的怪兽进行有效还击。
组成贼鸥军队的个体是武装到牙齿的巨型机甲战士，日本版贼鸥探戈狼有一人操纵版，而中国版贼鸥赤红飓风则是三人操纵。
男主人公是一位名罗利·安特罗伯斯(Raleigh Antrobus)的前机甲战士驾驶员，年龄23岁。
