While high school does not generally encourage students to explore new aspects of life, college sets the stage for that exploration.I myself went through this__41__process...
41.A.searching B.planning
C.natural
D.formal
He was an international grandmaster, which 45.meant I would be learning from one of the game’s 46.best.I could hardly wait to __47__ him.
47.A.interview B.meet
C.challenge
D.beat
I soon realized that the silence was not unpleasant.__58__,if there had been any talking,it would have 59.caused us to learn less.
stly B.Thus
C.Instead
D.However
The baby was born and update texts were ing__in quickly from the overjoyed grandmother, Teresa. In her __48__,she
didn’t seem to realize that she was 49.sharing the baby’s photos with a complete stranger.
48.A.opinion B.anxiety
C.excitement
D.effort
The baby was born and...the overjoyed grandmother,Teresa”可知,此处填入的词应与“overjoyed(欣喜若狂的)”在语义范畴上一致,故选excitement。
Two weeks earlier, my son, Ben, had got in tou ch.He’d moved to England
with his mum when he was three and it had been 13 years since I’d st seen him.So imagine my __42__ when he emailed me saying he wanted to come to visit me.
42.A.delight B.relief
C.anger
D.worry
The 46.story began during my first week at college.I watched as the ASL Club ____47__ their translation of a song.
47.A.recorded B.performed
C.recited
D.discussed
In his introduction, he made it __49__ that our credits would be hard-earned.
49.A.real B.perfect
C.clear
D.possible
make it clear that...
