查哈阳乡小学张宇涵Dear student, It’s really my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. The content of my lesson is Unit 6 What's wrong with you? First, let me talk about the teaching demands
Part 1 Teaching demands The main task of this lesson is talking about seeing the doctor. Make Ss learn the new phrases: "take some medicine, take a rest, stay in bed, " have the Ss to understand and use the steps of seeing the doctor ,and describe the feeling of illness are the key and difficult points of this part. But it can help theSs further consolidate the knowledge. Before this lesson, the Ss have learnt some nouns, ( such as: headache, stomachache, toothache, cough and so on.) And they can also ask and answer"What's wrong with you? --I have a headache ." A few Ss lost their hearts in learning, so it’s very important to stir up their interest and foster theirconfidence. Therefore, on studying the teaching demands and analyzing the regulation of children’s growing of mind, I put forward the teaching aims like this:
Part 2 Teaching aims 1. Knowledge & Ability aims: The Ss can grasp the new words: headache, stomachache, toothache, temperature, cough And then, the Ss can understand and use the sentence patterns to make simple dialogues and describe illness freely.
2. Emotion aims: By completing tasks, encourage the Ss to
cooperate, increase their interest and set up self-confidence in English study. Next,the key and difficult points of this lesson: First of all, to study and use the new words and the sentence patterns. Secondly, teach the Ss how to study independently as well as by cooperation in pairs and in groups. Well, how to achieve the teaching aims better, to stress the key points and break through the difficult points? To make use of the proper teaching methods is very important, I’ll talk about them below.
Part 3 Teaching methods
First, I will establishe a real scene and an interaction between the Ss and me and emphasize a dynamic information exchange with the Ss. And then offer the Ss an opportunity to complete a task use the new words and sentence patterns. At the same time, I will make use all kinds of teaching means to mobilize the Ss’ enthusiasm and creativit y in learning English.
Part 4 Teaching Process: In order to realize the teaching process systematically, properly and efficiently, I divide the teaching process into 4 steps.
Step1 Warm-up. First, Duty report. It not only can test whether the grasp of knowledge or not. But also,make poor Ss full of confidence. And arouse the Ss’s performance
Step2 Presentation First, I will show a flash to Ss, enable them
get the rough idea of the story. Then, I will ask some simple questions."What happened?" "Who are in the story?" "What's wrong with kate?" Second, after that, I will turn on the radio, let Ss listen to the tape carefully, and find out the new phrases"" take some medicine, take a rest, stay in bed, And then, encourage them to learn it from dictionary by themselves.
Step 3 Text learning First, I will ask the Ss to do some reading practise. Have the Ss read the text together and enable Ss to pay attention to imitate the intonation and voice. Then read in groups, sum up kate's promble.
Step 4 Consolidation In order to consolidate what we have learnt, and training the Ss' ability of speaking and cooperating, I prepare an interesting role playing. We have doctor clothes, doctor hat,..etc.and ask the Ss to practise the dialogue in groups then show it up. To further consolidate the knownlage.
Step 5 Extension At last, summarize the whole lesson, arrange Ss to interview some friends and parents write down the ill feeling and doctor's corresponding suggestions in the forms. According that, encourage Ss cooperate with others to make a new dialog.
