In the north of Scotland there is a lake called Loch Ness. It’s the deepest (最深的) lake in the UK. People say a big monster (妖怪) lives in the water. It weighs at least 1,000 kilos. A lot of people went to Loch Ness to look for this strange monster, but only a few people said they saw it. Nobody knows if (是否) they really saw it.
The Loch Ness Monster is a famous story. People first told it over 500 years ago, but it became popular in the 20th century (世纪).
