Procedure:
Step 1 Lead-in
Talk about sports and sports names to arouse students’ interest.
1. Are you interested in sports?
2. What kind of sports are you particularly fond of?
3. What sports do you know?
Watch a video about the Olympic Games in London to get students to speak out the sports names mentioned in it.
Step 2 Self-study
Read and study Part A and Part B on Page 46 and try to remember the sports names.
