Additionally, food preparation methods in the East tend to be more labor-intensive, with techniques like stir-frying, steaming, and slow cooking being common practices. In contrast, Western cooking often involves processes like baking, grilling, and roasting. Despite these differences, food serves as a unifying element in both cultures, bringing people together to celebrate special occasions, express love and gratitude, and pass down recipes through generations.
