精读比泛读好英语作文
As the saying goes, "practice makes perfect." This applies to learning English as well. In the process of learning English, there are two approaches: extensive reading and intensive reading. Extensive reading refers to reading a large volume of material quickly, while intensive reading involves reading a smaller amount of material in detail. In my opinion, intensive reading is better than extensive reading for improving English skills.
Firstly, intensive reading allows for a deeper understanding of the text. When reading in detail, we can analyze the language used, the structure of the sentences, and the meaning behind the words. This helps us to comprehend the text more thoroughly and develop a better understanding of the language. Moreover, intensive reading enables us to learn new vocabulary and grammar in context, which is more effective than memorizing lists of words or rules.
Secondly, intensive reading helps us to improve our writing skills. By analyzing the structure and language of a text, we can learn how to write more effectively. We can also learn how to use different types of sentence
structures and how to vary our word choice to make our writing more interesting and engaging.
Thirdly, intensive reading is more beneficial for preparing for exams. In most exams, students are required to read and analyze a text in detail. By practicing intensive reading, we can improve our ability to understand and analyze texts, which will help us to perform better in exams.
However, this is not to say that extensive reading is not important. Reading a large volume of material can help to improve our reading speed and fluency, and can also expose us to a variety of different topics and writing styles. It is important to strike a balance between the two approaches, and to choose the appropriate approach depending on our goals and needs.
In conclusion, while both extensive and intensive reading have their benefits, I believe that intensive reading is the better approach for improving English skills. By reading in detail, we can develop a deeper understanding of the language, improve our writing skills, and prepare
for exams.。
