出国留学，一般情况都需要先过语言关，下面列出一些常见考试：
去澳大利亚、新西兰、英国考雅思(雅思: International English Language Testing System，简称IELTS，中文名为国际英语语言测试系统。

另一种是语言及综合学习能力考试，如学生到北美读本科需在托福考试的基础上，通过SAT或ACT考试，而到北美读研究生院或商学院需要通过托福考试后，完成GRE，GMA T或LSAT等考试。
