Everyone has their own feelings, but not everyone shares feelings properly.
First, we have to be in control of those feelings. Sometimes it may be hard, but we can always have self-control.
Self-control means having control over your feelings and actions. Actions that hurt people make things worse, not better. Controlling our feelings does not mean ignoring(忽视) them. It means following the social rules for good communication. We can share our feelings, talk about what we want, and work things out with the other people.
Second, I-messages are the best way to tell someone how you feel or what you think. You begin with the word “I” and then talk about yourself. One example is “I won't go to that playground because I don't feel safe there. ”
Listening is also an important part of good communication. You should always
listen politely to the person you are speaking with. That person also has feelings to share. You can show that you understand by nodding your head and answering thoughtfully. Understanding isn't the same thing as agreeing.
Sometimes when you listen, you learn that you made a mistake. The right way to solve that is to say that you are sorry. After you say you're sorry, try to make the situation better. If you broke something, fix it if you can. If you forgot to do something, try again. With a little practice, you can learn to use good communication skills every day!

D. ignoring our feelings

A. Make a mistake.
B. Agree with the talker.
C. Listen politely.
D. Control the talker.
62. What should you do first when you find you made a mistake?
A. Fix the mistake.
B. Say you are sorry.
C. Remember the mistake.
D. Make the situation better.

Parents will always tell you that your school days are the happiest days of your life. I'm sure you would disagree.
You think you are old enough to make your own decisions, but your parents don't think so. You may argue with your parents a lot. These arguments are necessary for growing up and finding out who you are.
You spend most of your time at school, so you might have worries about keeping up with all your homework. Your parents might also push you to do well in exams. But what if you don't like school? What if you like sports and music? Your parents might want you to go to university so they will want you to do nothing but study. They will tell you how important it is to have a good education, but perhaps you don't agree.
And you want to look good, so you'll spend hours getting ready for a party, but your parents don't like your clothes. Maybe you want to change your hair color, but your parents won't let you do that.
If you have these problems, what do you do to make your life simpler? Write to me and let me know.

Dear Han Mei,
I'm sorry to hear that you have some problems. Being a writer is a great dream. From now on, you should study hard to make your dream come true. First, you should give up your bad habits. Watching TV and playing computer games can bring us joy, but I think you should make a good plan between learning and playing. Second, try to develop some good habits in studying. For example, you can do much more reading every day. It is a good way to help you write. Then, take more writing exercises every day. You should practice writing as much as possible from daily life to your feelings. If possible, you could write for newspapers.
I hope my advice is helpful to you.
