Look at the sentence in the picture:What is she doing now?After that let students look at a clock picture and ask them “What’s the time?” and ask them “What were she doing at 6 this morning?
Listen again.Fill in the blanks in the sentences for each picture in2a.
Check the students’ answer.
Step6 do the practice
Let students do the past continues practice
Then point out that they both mean “doing”,but “was”represent a past time,while “are”represents now.
Step3 listening
Listen to the TV reporter and circle the correct in 1a
Check the students’ answers.
Listen and repeat
Step4 practice
Talk about what the people were doing at the time of the rainstorm.
