Firstly, the pictures which are showed the situation about “besides ”:Marry and Bob go to school. Sam goes to school , too. We can express like this: Marry and Bob go to school besides Sam ./Besides Sam , Marry and Bob go to school.
Secondly, the pictures which are showed the situation about “except ”:Marry and Bob go to school. Lily doesn ’t go to school .We can express like this: Marry and Bob go to school except Sam.
Thirdly, the pictures which are showed the situation about “except for ”:The city is beautiful. The traffic of this city is so bad. We can express like this: The city is beautiful except for its heavy traffic./Except for its heavy traffic ，The city is beautiful.
