Believe in yourself.
A smile goes a long way. When you walk in the halls, don't keep your eyes on the floor. Raise your head and make eye contact (目光接触)with other people. 39 Introduce yourself. Tell them your name and where you're from.

Ways to make a great first impression
You've heard it a million times already, but it really does take but a few seconds to make that
all-important first impression. Here are some easy ways for you to impress your classmates or teachers. . 36
Before you shake hands with somebody, make sure that your hands are clean. The handshake should not be too strong or weak. Most people use their right hands, unless they have a reason to use the

•Be on time
When meeting someone for the first time, arriving on time is as important as breathing. You may have an excuse, but that will leave the person who hardly knows you with a bad impression. 38 It's better to be hanging around the place than be stuck in traffic.
•Introduce yourself and ask for names
Make sure you properly introduce yourself. Ask for their name in a polite way. 39 This will increase the chances of their remembering your name in the future. Always remember to stand up when greeting someone and be sure to introduce them to anyone you're with.
•Make good conversation
To get the most out of your discussion, try to find something common between the two of
you. 40 A person will feel more comfortable with someone they can relate to (产生共鸣).

How to deal with your homework
Write it down. 36 Make a note on your notebook. Always be sure to write down any homework for school so you won't forget anything.
Create a homework station. Find somewhere comfortable and quiet to work. 37 It will take twice as long to get the homework done. Shut off your cell phone, log off (退出)your computer (unless you will need it for your homework) and close the door.
Do it as early as possible. Don't leave homework to the last minute. ^8_ The earlier you start your homework, the sooner you will finish! Do all your homework as early as you can, so you don't have a pile of (一堆)homework the next day.
39 Think about how long it will take you to complete each homework subject. For example: English 一ten minutes, science 一ten minutes, math 一forty minutes, history 一twenty minutes.
Treat yourself. You can easily get tired by sitting through an hour or two of homework without stopping. Once you finish homework for a subject, take a small break. Just make sure it's quick (no more than 15 minutes). Do not turn on the TV, or you'll never go back and finish your homework. 40
e your time wisely.
B.Start as soon as you get home.
C.Start with your hardest homework.
D.Never do your homework in front of the TV.
E.You can take a walk or find something to eat.
F.After short breaks, return to finish up the last of your work.
G.Keep a homework notebook where you record all your homework. 36-40 GDBAF。
