Module 9
Unit 1 Are you feeling bored?
Teaching contents:
New Standard English Book 5 Module 9 Unit 1 Are you feeling bored? Overall teaching ideas:
This unit is about feelings. The type of this lesson is reading and writing lesson. My students can do some actions under the teacher’s guidance and they are enthusiastic about English study, but they can’t use the English flexibly. They lacked the confidence, abilities and methods to learn English. In this unit, I think how to use the thinking map to read a passage is the most difficult for them. So I will use Situational Teaching Method and Task-based Teaching Method to let them know what a thinking map is. I will express it step by step. Then they can retell the dialogue by the thinking map. After reading, help them write something about their feelings.
