Researchers at the University of Chicago have trained an artificial intelligence( AI) system, to write fae(伪造的) reviews on Yelp, a website showing customers' reviews on shopping or
something else, and it's pretty hard to tell them apart from a human review.
Their study, which will be pressed at the ACM Conference on Computer and Communication Security in October, aimed to stress how easily these systems can write reviews lie humans and
how damaging they can become if they're not mentioned properly.
Since many small businesses rely on online reviews to help grow and support their
reputation, a future where someone-lie a competitor or angry customer-could craily fill their-
page with bad reviews written by a machine is pretty worrying.
And, according to the research team, the threat(威胁) goes far beyond a bunch of fae
reviews on Yelp. "In general, the threat is bigger," Ben Y. hao, one of the authors of. the
study, said. "I thin the threat towards society is large and it really misleads users and shaes
our belief in what is real and what is not, I thin that's going to be even more unimaginable."
To test how believable these reviews came across, the researchers invited 40 volunteers and
had AI generate (生成) five fae reviews for 40 actual restaurants. The volunteers were ased how
useful they thought the reviews were and whether or not they thought they were fae. The AI reviews raned as "effectively indistinguishable" from real reviews, according to the study. Further,
the fae reviews were given a 3·15 "usefulness" rating, compared to a 3. 28 rating for human
reviews.
28 Why do researchers use AI system to write fae reviews on Yelp?
A. To press their study at the ACM Conference.
B. To replace humans' reviews with AI reviews.
C. To mae sure that they are not harmful to our life.
D. To mae a research on AI system's review writing.

A. They can be found everywhere.
B. They are hardly helpful to our life.
C. They can be vital to small businesses.
D. They bring us a lot of convenience.
30. What does the last paragraph tell us?
A. AI reviews were effectively distinguishable.
B. AI system was really a help in review writing.
C. Restaurants should care for customers' reviews.
D. AI reviews were almost as believable as humans'.
31. What's the author's purpose of writing the passage?
A. To emphasie the importance of AI studying.
B. To predict what the world will be lie tomorrow.
C. To warn people of the threat AI will possibly mae.
D. To tell the differences between AI reviews and humans'.

in an area that birds are used to feeding from a feeder-it can tae birds over a wee to find new feeders.
Observe your bird feeders whenever possible, and eep trac of how much seed is in each
bird feeder each day, A ruler is helpful for this. You might also want to tae pictures of the
feeders and eep trac of what ind of birds visit each feeder. Over time, you should be able to
see if one color of seed gets eaten more than others.
Once your eperiment is done, you will be able to go bac to your hypothesis and see if it is
correct. Remember, it's not bad if your hypothesis was wrong. The main thing is that you've
learned something from your eperiment, and hopefully you had some fun doing it.
32. What's the purpose for this eperiment?
A. To mae local birds happy.
B. To see what color birds lie most.
C. To see if color of foods affects birds.
D. To find how local birds feed themselves.
33. What is the most important about the birdfeeders?
A. They are filled with some water.
B. They are placed in secret places.
C. They are painted in different colors.
D. They are all the same sie and type.
34. What's the second step for this eperiment?
A. Observing birdfeeders.
B. Rasing a question.
C. Collecting all the data.
D. Maing a hypothesis.
35. How does the author prove his view?

It is quite reasonable to blame traffic jams, the cost of gas and the great speed of modern
life, but manners on the road are becoming horrible. Everybody nows that the 61 (nice)
men would become fierce tigers behind the wheel. It is all right to have a tiger in a cage, but to
have 62 in the driver's seat is another matter.
Road politeness is not only good manners, 63 good sense too. It taes the most cool-
headed drivers great patience to give up the desire to beat bac when forced to face rude driving.
64 the other hand, a little politeness goes a long way towards reducing the 65 (possible) of quarreling and fighting. A friendly nod or a wave of thans in answer to an act of politeness
66 (help) to create an atmosphere of good will and calm.
However, if politeness 67 (place) wrong, it can also be dangerous. Typical eamples

cars that may be not able to stop in time. The same goes for encouraging old ladies 68 ( cross) the road.
An eperienced driver, 69 manners are faultless, told me it would help if drivers learnt
to 70 (correct) join in traffic stream without causing total blocages(阻塞物).Unfortunately,

to heart.

Dear Ale,
I’m more than pleased to answer your question.
Don't forget there’s a“不”,which means“riot",beside“木”,which means“wood ".
What does this suggests A glass or cup, which refers to“beii" in Chinese,is not made of
wood!
Of curse it’s a joe. As we can see around us,glasses or cups are mostly made of glass, porcelain, plastic, paper or something else. However,in ancient times there were no such mate-
rials in China. People had to use wood to contain water or water-lie liquids. Wooden bowls or
spoons used thousands of years ago have been discovered. The same story goes with some other
Chinese chaacters,such as“碗”.

MI'm really fed up,but I just don't now how to tell him that he should come up with half the grocery bill, because sometimes he treats me to a meal in a restaurant.
WWell, honesty is the best policy. Maybe you just want to have a heart-to-heart,friend-to- friend tal with him. If he refuses to mend his ways, then as him to move out.

MThis is going to be a great camping trip. I haven’t been to this mountain since I was a young boy. Oh,I remember how peaceful it was and how great everything smelled. And the fishing was fantastic! My brother and I used to catch huge fish and fry them over the fire. WYeah,Dad,we’ve heard this story since we were babies. We now-peaceful scenery, good smell, fish, everything. I'm glad we're finally going to go. You aren't going to mae me fish with you,are you?

WSo,how are things going,Steve?
MWell,to be honest,Carla,I was feeling great on Saturday, but I started to feel sic on Sunday afternoon. I thought I’d get better, but I feel worse than before. And I’m really worried
because I’m scheduled to give a presentation at wor on Friday,so I have to be better by then.
WWell, what seems to be the problem
MWell,I thought I had the flu,but the doctor said it was just a bad(old. He gave me some cold medicine to tae care of my stuffy nose and fever. I’m supposed to tae the medicine
three times a day after eating, but it doesn't seem to help. He also told me to stay off my feet for a day or so,but I’m so busy these days.
WListen, forget about that medicine! I have just the thing to get rid of bad(olds. You see,my mom is really into herbal medicine.
MOh,no. Thans.
WAh,come on! Give it a try. You just tae some of my mom’s herbal tea and drin it four times a day. Believe me. You'll be up and dancing around in no time.
MDancing around in no time, right? Well,I guess. Nothing else seems to be doing the job.
WGreat. I'll come by your place at 730. See you then.
