Text Study—Summary
Scientifically this has allowed the writers to discover the __ro_u_t_e_s_ taken by early people migrating around the world and also to show that _u_n_d_e_r_t_h_e_s_k_i_n_we are all very similar on a genetic level. The ultimate goal of the study, however, is not just _s_c_ie_n_t_ifi_c__: it hopes to have a _s_o_ci_a_l _ effect by proving that there is no biological basic for _r_a_c_ia_l_p_r_e_ju_d_ic_e__.
10. Cavalli-Sforza says that his goal is to “_w_e_a_k_e_n_c_o_n_v_e_n_t_io_n_a_l _n_o_ti_o_n_s_o_f_r_a_c_e_” that cause racial prejudice.

III. Summary
The book The History and Geography of Human Genes was written after the r_e_s_e_a_rc_h_e_r_s_ have spent 16 years examining the _g_e_n_e_ti_c_s_im__il_a_ri_ti_e_s between the populations of the world. This was achieved largely by taking the blood of hundreds of thousands of __in_d_iv_i_d_u_a_ls_ from all around the world, and then analyzing their __b_lo_o_d__p_ro_t_e_in_s_.
