摘要：PURPOSE:To contrive highly efficient enlargement of the range of flow amount by a method wherein the outer wall of an eddy chamber at the side of the side plate of an impeller or a wall member, provided at the inside of the outer wall, is made movable into the direction of a rotary shaft to make the combination of sectional areas of the impeller and the eddy chamber optimum and reduce eddy chamber loss. CONSTITUTION:The sectional area of a fluid flow path in the eddy chamber 32 can be changed smoothly by respective movements of a movable wall 14, movable in parallel to an eddy chamber wall surface 13 in the eddy chamber 32, and the movable wall 15, pivotable about a hinge 17 provided on the inner wall surface of a casing 9. The sectional area of the eddy chamber 32 is controlled to change it by moving the movable wall 14 in parallel and the movable wall 15 in pivoting so that the sectional area of the eddy chamber 32 is enlarged at the side of large flow amount while the same is reduced at the side of small flow amount. According to this method, the eddy chamber loss under the large and small flow amounts which are deviated from designed flow amount may be reduced and the range of flow amount, in which the efficiency of the fan is high, may be enlarged.
