Traditional Chinese Food
Do you like Chinese food? As an old Chinese saying goes, "Food is the priority of the people." You can see that Chinese people pay great attention to eating. There are many delicious food in China, and the food in different places has different tastes and has its own system.
There are four major Chinese cuisines, Sichuan cuisine, Guangdong cuisine, Yangtze cuisine, and Beijing cuisine. Sichuan cuisine comes from all over Sichuan. It is characterized by its spicy flavor, and when cooking, not only use chili peppers, but also add Sichuan peppercorns. That way, the food is very delicious. It has a spicy and tingling taste. Famous Sichuan dishes include mapo tofu, shredded pork with fish flavor, and Kung pao chicken. Another cuisine is Cantonese cuisine, which comes from Guangzhou and Fujian. Cantonese cuisine is characterized by its emphasis on original flavor, light taste and excellent soups. Some famous Cantonese dishes include the Buddha jumping over the wall and the battle between the dragon and the tiger. The third cuisine is Yangcai. Yangcai is from Jiangsu, Shanghai and Zhejiang. It is characterized by salty and sweet, and is usually cooked with a little more sugar. Several famous Yangzi dishes are braised lion's head, braised chicken, and sweet and sour pork ribs. The last cuisine is Beijing cuisine, which originated from around Beijing. It is characterized by a strong flavor and a lot of soy sauce. Several famous Beijing dishes are shredded pork in Beijing sauce, moo shu pork, and Beijing Roast Duck.
The four major cuisines use a variety of ingredients. Sichuan cuisine and Beijing cuisine use heavy ingredients, such as chili and soy sauce, so the dishes are darker in color. Many dishes have a deep red pepper color. Cantonese cuisine pays attention to the original flavor, the food is generally relatively light, not strong color. The flavor of Yangcai is relatively light, but some dishes use soy sauce, sugar, and vinegar, so the color can be strong.
As a Chinese-American living on the East Coast of the United States, every time I have a craving, I want to go to New York's Chinatown to find an authentic Chinese restaurant to eat. Chinese food is a very important part of Chinese culture. I can enjoy delicious food and learn Chinese culture at the same time, which is also a blessing in the world.。
