Qiuya, the best looking girl in high school, marries an ugly guy, which makes Xia luo jealous. Thus, on the wedding, drunk, he pretends to be rich and tells her that he has always been in love with her.

But things get out of control. His wife, Ma Dongmei, hears

everything.Heartbroken, she reveals the truth that they live in poverty. The wedding turns into a tragedy.

In the restroom, he dreams of traveling back to high school.

In his dream, he makes a different choice. Knowing all the popular celebrities of the 21th century, he succeeds by composing with ease. He gets everything he want-money, fame, the heart of Qiuya, and even brings his mother back to life.Yet he found himself tired of the decadent life-style and heart-empty.

After all these things he has been through, he finally realizes that Dongmei is the right one for him. (This part reminds me of a song by Passenger, let her go. I love a sentence of the lyrics most, only know you love her when you let her go. ) The dream stopped abruptly right here, but has led us to endless thinking.

Back to the real world, Xia starts to cherish his wife, refusing to move a step from her.

The theme of the film is about first love and success. Characters, just like most other films, are a man who still in love with his first love, a spoony girl and a good-looking one, a silly but lucky supporting role and a bastard. It seems that it's totally a bowl of chicken soup - nothing special. But it has won the audiences' hearts successfully.

First of all, love and success are things that people of each era chase after.We all long for love, and we are all keen on success. They can touch every individual's heart with ease.

For the second, this movie brings people back to the old time by using old songs skilfully.

Besides, the flaw of this film is that the link between the dream and reality is not so reasonable. But the plenty laughing points cover it up.
