C:Hi,I 'm Cherry Stark, from China XYZ Company. We have an appointment with Mr. Thomas.
M:Welcome to ABC Company. We have been expecting you, please have a seat. I will call him.
C: Thank you.
M: I 'm sorry . Mr. Thomas is making a long distance call. Please wait for a few minutes.
C: OK. I would like to wait here.
M:In the meantime, may I ask all of you to sign in so that I can issue your passes?
C:Should each of us write separately?
M: Yes, please. Please print your name and company name, and the person you are going to see. Mr. Thomas will be here very soon. Would you like some coffee or tea?
C: Coffee would be fine.

T: I really like what you have.But the price for this product is much higher than we expected. I 'm absolutely not a buyer at that price.
C:I know it is not the cheapest on the market. But if you take the quality factor into consideration, you will find your company will benefit in the long term.This device is built in with the most advanced technology.Every aspect has reached the international standard.It is a worthwhile investment.
T: I understand that.If you can lower the price by 10 percent, we have a deal right now.
C:Well, the best I can do is to lower the price by 5 percent if you are willing to pay 90% cash of front and 10% on delivery. That is our best offer.
T:Err, well, I can’t decide right now.Do you mind if I have a small internal discussion on this first?I will tell you our decision this
afternoon.
C:Sure, no problem.
Scene Three: sign contract

C:Mr Thomas,The contract is ready. Will you please check up the particulars and see if everything is in order?
T:Well, everything is all right. There's only one thing I would like to point out that is timely delivery. You know our company are in urgent need of the goods. If you fail to deliver the goods at the time stipulated in the contract, we may turn elsewhere for substitution. In that case, we just can't stand the loss.
C:You are assured that the shipment will be duly delivered; we must have your L/C at least one month before the time of shipment.
T:Certainly. When I get back, I'll open an L/C for the whole quantity as soon as possible.
C:Good. Another thing , the stipulations in the relevant credit should strictly confirm to the terms stated in the contract in order to avoid subsequent amendment.If that does happen,
shipment will possibly be delayed.
T:All right. I'll see to it.
C:Any other question?
T:No, nothing more.
C:Shall we sign the contract now?
T:With pleasure.
C:Now, please countersign it. You may keep one original and two copies for yourself.
T:Thank you.
C:I'm glad our negotiation has come to a successful conclusion. I hope this mark the beginning of long and stable business relations between us.
