一、词汇详解

1.board n.木板;牌子;伙食;理事会;部;局

vt.&vi.用木板覆盖(或封闭);上(船、车、飞机等);供……膳宿 【典型例句】

He sawed the board in half.

他将木板锯成两块。

He has recently joined the board of the company.

他最近加入了该公司的董事会。

He boarded up the windows.

2.recommend vt. 推荐;建议

He recommended that the prisoners (should) be released.

4.acknowledge vt.承认;确认;答谢

They acknowledged him to be their master.

acknowledge 着重“公开承认”,常用来指过去曾

The new government was not recognized.
