在同学们的口语表达中，也感受到了她的学生有着丰富的词汇量，这与刘老师具有新的教学理念以及她平时扎实的教学是分不开的。
三，教学节奏有度，操练到位。
对于小学生来说，除了创设一些情景吸引学生的注意外，还需要大量的操练，学生才能掌握所授的知识。
这节课刘老师句型操练的节奏适度，开火车、师生、生生之间的练习非常扎实、到位。
四，导入部分衔接自然，学生容易接受。
导入是进行实际教学的前奏，俗话说，好的开端是成功的一半，组织好一堂课的开端，是激活学生思维，调动学生兴趣，使之进入好的学习状态的重要因素。
例如，本节课从让学生们猜老师的爱好入手，引出了take photos这一动词组，然后通过让学生看所拍的照片，很自然的引出了flower单词，从而教授grow flowers词组，可以说是环环紧扣，衔接自然。
五，适当拓展，使学生的能力得到更大的发展。
在学生扎实掌握了课本知识的同时，刘老师还向学生的实际延伸，适当拓展了些内容。
在教授collect stamps时，增加了collect animal stamps, collect ship stamps, collect the toy dogs, collect the books等等，并且还补充了句型What’s …’s hobby? She likes/He likes … .最后还不忘对学生进行语篇的训练，安排学生介绍自己家人的爱好，使学生的能力得到了更好的发展。
