Last two years,the price of productions in our country has increased. When it comes to this year,we have to talk about the garlic. The price of garlic increased in a unbelievable rapid rate.

Let us analysis this by using economic knowledge. What causes this amazing increase and what influence it will exert to our life ..

〓Here are some reasonable factors which may explain this change..

A. The area of garlic has decreased because farmers ’ positivity of producing garlic

has been hit by the market depression last two years, so the supply of garlic diminished.

B. The international garlic demand and the export of garlic increasing caused the

price ascended and the demand increased..

C. Some garlic suppliers just sit down and see how the market will change, so it

caused the insufficient of market garlic supply. Of course price increased.

D. Yes, the market failure is another important factor that cannot be ignored. Due

to the market failure, the market left on its own fails to allocate garlic efficiently.

E.However, there are some businessman wanna control the garlic market to create

their monopoly industrial.

As it shows, we might see a slow ascend between 2009.10-2010.4 and a small slope between 2010.5-2010.6. Next , we can see a sharp increase from 2010.6-2010.9 …

Conclusions:

A.Let us solve the primary problem. The demand curve is downward and the supply curve

is upward, but the “quantity demanded” means the amount a person is willing and able to buy at a particular price, so it can be upward just like the supply curve.

B.Market power and externality can cause market failure which impacts the ability of

market to allocate the resources.

C.Monopoly industrial did no good for market.
