《Making a poster about a historical figure》教学设计一、教材分析牛津版高中英语第三模块第一单元的Project致力于通过组织学生做一个研究项目来帮助学生全面提高运用英语的能力。
首先,学生必须仔细阅读材料,课文介绍了两个重要的历史人物的生平——Alexander the Great(亚历山大大帝)和 the father of Western philosophy, Socrates(西方哲学之父,苏格拉底),通过阅读文章学生更加了解这两个历史人物,然后在老师的引导下,学生要知道做一张关于历史人物英文海报中必须包含哪些相关信息,最后在此基础上以小组活动的形式,每组选择一历史人物,共同为其设计制作出一张英文海报。
这个部分的目的是让学生灵活运用已经学过的英语知识和英语技能,通过分工合作来共同完成一个研究项目。
在做这个项目的过程中,学生们将思考海报的基本要素和选哪个历史人物作为海报的主题以及海报上要写关于这个历史人物的哪些信息。
