本课以动物习性为中心话题，通过特定语境，使学生对本模块语言和文化进行初步感知和体验，了解关于动物分布，食物以及爱好的词汇与常用表达方法等，并初步掌握一般现在时单数第三人称肯定句、否定句、和一般疑问句及其回答。
本课内容为完成本模块的任务即talking about animals做好了铺垫。
在模块教学中具有举足轻重的地位。
二．教学目标分析1.语言技能目标听：能够听懂接近自然语速、熟悉话题的简单语段，识别出动物的名称，获取主要信息。
说：能正确说出动物名称；谈论动物及其习性。
读：能够连贯、流利地朗读课文；并抓住不同动物的生活习性。
