Let more people know about them and like their music. The report is give to the band’s manager on December 26.ProceedingsIn the collection of band information or data in the methods and procedures. We used the following methods. First of all, we are from the band’s company to obtain relevant date. Secondly a questionnaire was completed by those who were surveyed. The third is through interviews with fans.FindingsFrom the band’s company the findings of the investigation indicate that the band’s most prosperous period in 2003 year. From 2001 to 2003, the band career on the rise. But after 2003 year, it began to decline. As it can be seen from the chart the sales of merchandise on last three tours is decreasing. From 2001 to 2003, the number of CD sales increased from 3.5 million copies to 5.1 million copies. But after 2003 years until 2007, there was a drop in the number of CD sales from 5.1 million copies to 2.9 million copies. In the questionnaire survey, we mainly investigate what type of music is people like and what are the reasons. According to statistics, the way forks know the music is television and other media, friends and magazines. In interview with all fans of the Soundblaster band, we mainly ask fans to like band’s the reason. And why some of them do not like and do not buy albums. Through interviews, we conclude that love this band’s songs on the music becauseof their dedication to music, they sing the feeling, theySongs can be sung depths of the human soul and attracted to their personality. Since they have so many advantages, then, why some are no longer used to like the band’s fans to support them. Because they genre did not change in recent year. All the songs are similar.ConclusionsWith the rapid development of entertainment, music development is very fast. There have a lot of singers and bands. They have created a lot of music. At the same time, artists and their works in order to remember and recognition by others is very difficult. Like music as like people. A long time would have no fresh, no longer like. Therefore, the band needs to make changes. Brokerage firm can shape from band members and music styles to make changes. But some things can not be changed. Many people like they are serious about music, the feeling of singing. These characteristics are to be retained.RecommendationsThrough data collection and information control, we believe that the following aspects should be improved from the popular band.Define a clear target for Soundblaster:First, we must clearly set for each member, each member assigned to different tasks, to achieve the perfect combination.Second, change the genre, they are beautiful romantic past record, this album is defined as the nostalgia category.Develop the band’s brand:In today’s society, the brand is very important. We first have to design a logo for the band. The logo must be distinctive feature easy to remember. When people see this logo you know the band related products. Successful design communicates an idea. This means there is no standard for creating an album cover, logo, or gig poster for the band. The artwork simply must be appropriate to the subject and convey the band’s sound, motivation and style to the viewer. With more and more music being published digitally, the format of the artwork is also a necessary consideration.Develop the band’s music and attract new fans:The quality of the development of the band, the most important thing is the quality of the song. We can record the new production team invited outstanding lyrics and music written for the band. We can also include some of the album the band’s original songs. Good music will attract more fans.Increasing sales of music and merchandising:We can regard the band as a commodity.First, let more people know their songs. Unit 7.3 Progress report 例文2

Sample2:Progress report using pre-determined template6.1Research activities in relation to the project objectives that were carried out up to the last Progress Report(please state the scope of investigation undertaken;results achieved;problems encountered;deviations from the original plan and the reasons for doing so etc.)The research activities thus far completed during the past12months are closely aligned with the project objectives.During the first stage of the data collection,we successfully conducted five intercultural decision-making meetings between Hong Kong and Japanese business professionals. In addition, one intra-cultural decision-making meeting, consisting of six Hong Kong business professionals, was also conducted in using participants’first-language,Cantonese. The inclusion of the intracultural decision-making meetings in the research design allows us to compare the similarities and differences of Hong Kong business professionals when participating in interconnected first-language(Cantonese)and second-language(English)decision-making meetings.6.1Areas addressed and results expected during this reporting periodThe current research project is scheduled for completion by December2011.To meet the schedule, the following research activities will be completed during the next eleven months:1.Codifying the data from the intercultural and intracultural business meetingsmunicating via Skype with Co-Investigators to discuss the overall theoreticalframework for data analysis.3.Writing final report and preliminary findings for international conference presentation andinternational refereed journal submission.6.3Research activities in relation to the project objectives that were carried out during this reporting periodThe research activities completed the second stage of the research project is closely aligned with the planned project objectives since the first reporting period.Scope of investigation undertaken.During the second stage of this research project,we were continuously involved in soliciting business professionals in Hong Kong and Japan to be the volunteer research subjects. For comparison purposes, the second stage of the data collection focused on intracultural meetings in that Hong Kong or Japanese business professionals conducted decision-making meetings in using either English(second-or foreign language)or their own native language(Cantonese and Japanese in this case).During the period, data from three intracultural meetings of Hong Kong managers and professionals(two were conducted in Cantonese and one in English)were collected. As for Japan, one intracultural meeting of the Japanese business professionals was collected. This intracultural decision-making meeting was conducted in English. To make this data comparable with Hong Kong data, another intracultural decision-making meeting will be conducted in Japanese, and is scheduled to be held in late March or early April2012(exact timeunder arrangement). In addition to the data collected form business professionals, four groups of Japanese MBA student data were also collected in July2011,two of which were intercultural meetings conducted in English and another two were intracultural meetings conducted in Japanese and in Mandarin Chinese. These MBA students are graduate students majoring in international business and finance. The third set of data was collected from the German subsidiary of a Chinese multinational corporation.Data from two simulated meetings(one intra-cultural and one intra-cultural meeting)were collected. As stated in the research proposal, the meeting dialogues were transcribed verbatim in English for intercultural business meetings and in Cantonese for Cantonese intra-cultural business meeting. The collected data base contains approximately70,000words.Both quantitative and qualitative of the data were analyzed..Results achieved.Up to this reporting period,we have successfully collected videotapes and made transcriptions of eight45-minute to one-hour business decision-making meetings. We have generated a significant body of data that has been transcribed and analyzed the communication behaviors in terms of turn taking, amount of speaking time, and number of words. This set of the data was calculated and compared from the quantitative perspective.Aside from analyzing the data from the quantitative perspective,we have been working on the subsequent thematic qualitative analysis. The focus of the qualitative analysis is on topic management strategies in regard to three major aspects;namely,small-talk/socialization,floor management, and disclosure of disagreeing opinions..The data sets being transcribed so far consists of approximately70,000words of corpus and has fulfilled the data collection outlined in the original proposal.Based on preliminary analysis,we have made three international refereed conference presentations and have published the results in proceedings format in three international refereed conferences in the US,Malaysia in2011,and Korea in2012.Publications are listed below:….Problems encountered. As outlined in the research proposal,we planned to collect data from the German and French subsidiary of a Chinese multinational st summer I was able to visit Germany subsidiary.Due to the traveling schedule of the Human Resources Director,I had to postpone my Europe trip until August.I was able to interview both German and Chinese staff and collected data from decision-making meetings at Germany subsidiary office but not at the French office. In August,90%of the French colleagues were on vacation so I was only able to interview Chinese expatriates In this connection,I am arranging a visit to the company’s French subsidiary in May or June2012.Deviations from the original plan and the reasons for doing so.There are no significant deviations from the original research plan other than widening the methodological approach to include discourse analysis of communication strategies between Hong Kong and Japanese business professionals in addition to the examining of turn-taking behaviors and topic management strategies. Also,we are considering of a possible widening of the theoretical framework. We will draw upon the“Whorfian”hypothesis and apply it to communication behaviors among two high-context societies. We will examine the use of languages classified as high-context(Japanese and Cantonese)and low-context(English) language by Japanese and Hong Kong business professionals.Japanese and Chinese share a similar culture orientation in that both Hong Kong and Japan are classified as high-context cultural societies.10.Other impact(e.g.collaboration with other research institutions, technology transfer, award of patents or prizes etc.)Through presenting the preliminary findings of the current research project in various conferences,we have been able to attract Asian and European scholars who are doing similar types of research from Japan and Finland. These researchers have agreed to join us in collaborative research efforts. The collaboration includes two professors who are teaching in Japan:one is an American professor teaching at University of Tokyo, and the other is a Korean professor teaching at Kansai University. The research collaboration with Europeans is with two scholars from Aalto University in Helsinki,Finland. The collaboration with these researchers in Japan and Finland will give us access to additional data and allow us to compare and integrate our theoretical perspectives. These researchers also are listed as co-investigators on the2011-12 GRF research proposal.Although the result of the GRF2011-12was fundable but not funded,I have downsized the research project scale and have applied for funding support from CityU Strategic Research Grants2012.In addition,in2011a Japanese professor learned about this research project and has invited me to serve as her research project advisor on a similar research project that has been submitted to Japanese Government..I am a guest editor for a special issue of the Journal of Business and Technical Communication scheduled for publication in summer2013.A manuscript relating to this research project will be submitted for this special issue. In my introductory remarks I also will refer to this research project.。

Our project until this point, has been successful in the sense that the followers on social media platforms has increased significantly
Alert the reader to unexpected changes or problems in the project
Some parts of our original plan, however, are delayed or adjusted… Our initial plan of holding talks in secondary schools was replaced by the Student Ambassador Program. We also conducted two more promotional activities within the University.
In addition, some changes have been made to the events after further consideration and discussion with Mr. Jack Yang, the project chief. The Beach Clean-up event is to be changed to teambuilding activities, for a wider participation and easier enforcement; while the Year-End Party is renamed as Annual Conference 2019, for a more formal tone to suit the nature of the event. For the future events and promotions, we will make our most effort to ensure that these activities run smoothly and on track. It is expected that our Sanosan microblog will further expand its recognition in China.

Otherwise, standard headings, lists, and tables are used throughout the rest of the memo. This memo describes the progress I have made on my independent-study project to write a report on debugging in Scheme. In this memo, I review the nature of the project and describe work I have completed, work I am currently engaged in, and work I plan to complete by the end of the project. As I described in my memo of June 21, this project will result in a technical report whose purpose is to provide readers with practical information on developing anddebugging调试programs in Scheme, supplementary to the material in your textbook, An Introduction to Scheme and its Implementation 执行.Introduction. In this introduction, the writer announces and the topic and purpose of the memo, provides an overview of what the rest of the memo contains, and gives a brief description of the project.Project DescriptionThe report is aimed at students in computer science (undergraduate and graduate) who have previous programming experience, but are new to Scheme. The information in this report is needed because readers who have developed programs using compilers编译器for other languages may be unfamiliar with the approaches available with an interactive interpreter and debugger(交互解释程序和调试器).Project ScopeIn my earlier memo, I proposed to cover the following high-level topics:∙Loading the debugging module into the interpreter∙Establishing break levels∙Applying backtrace∙Managing dependencies∙Saving and loading a customized heap image of the Scheme system∙Debugging local definitions∙Debugging native-code procedure calls∙Debugging when using functional programming style∙Program design and implementation strategies∙Using stubbed procedures∙Differences between RScheme and other Scheme systemsIn my current outline, these are divided into three major parts, with an addendum for topic 11. The three parts are: (a) basic debugging procedures topics 1-3, (b) advanced debugging procedures topics 4-7, and (c) general program development strategies topics 8-10.Work CompletedI have completed first drafts of the sections in part A on loading the debugging module, break levels, and apply-backtrace. I intend to make note of additional material for these sections while working on the later sections, if further background information is needed.Present WorkI am currently working on the sections in part B. Since these sections are highly interrelated, I am working on them roughly in parallel. I am also currently researching information on other Scheme systems for section 11; I have located information on Gambit and DrScheme.I expect the current work to be completed by the end of this week, July 25th.Future WorkNext, I will draft the sections in part C and the addendum on other Scheme systems. Finally, I will fully revise the entire draft, integrating further material where deficiencies have become evidentduring work on other sections. The final report will be ready for your review on August 6th.Project description. In this section, the writer provides an amplified description of the project in particular, providing some discussion of the intended audience.ConclusionThus far, the project is proceeding well. I have not run into anymajor problems, nor do I anticipate any in the remaining work. A current outline is attached. Conclusion overall appraisal As typical with progress reports, this one ends with an overall appraisal of the project.。

FROM:Sherry Nan, Location Manager SR
SUBJECT:Sites for Country Documentary Film Project
This memo describes the progress of my search for an appropriate rustic home to be used for the wine country documentary film. I have identified three sites for your inspection on December 17, as you requested.
Background: In preparation for this assignment, I consulted Director Dave Du, who gave me his preferences for the site. He suggested a picturesque ranch home situated near vineyards, preferably with redwoods in the background. I also consulted Producer Teresa Su, who told me that the site must accommodate 55 to 70 production crew members for approximately three weeks of filming. Ben Woo, telefilm accountant, requested that the cost of the site not exceed $240,000 RMB for a three-week lease.
Work Completed: For the past eight days I have searched the Russian River area in the Northern California wine country. Possible sites include Victorian mansions and rustic farmhouses in the neighboring towns. One exceptional site is the Country Meadow Inn, a 97-year-old farmhouse nestled among vineyards with a breathtaking view of valleys, redwoods, and distant mountains.
Work To Be Completed: In the next five days, I’ll search the Sonoma County countryside, including wineries at Napa. Many old wineries contain charming structures that may present exactly the degree of atmosphere and mystery we need. These wineries have the added advantage of easy acc ess. I’ve made an appointment with the director of state parks to discuss our project, use of state lands, restrictions, and costs.
Anticipated Problems: You should be aware of two complications for filming in this area.
1.Property owners seem unfamiliar with the making of films and are suspicious of
short-term leases.
2.Many trees won’t have leaves again until May. You may wish to change the filming
schedule somewhat.
By January 14 you’ll have my final report describing the three promising locations. Arrangements will be made for you to visit these sites on January 21.。
