Many disasters are completely unforeseen, and it is becoming increasingly important for managers to learn how to live with the unexpected.1.After several major disasters in the City of London, a group of managers have gottogether to form an organization called Survive. Their objective is to advisecompanies of the steps they should take in order to maintain business continuity inthe event of disaster. So far they have worked with 600 companies in the UK andthey are rapidly branching out to locations around the world. Survive Singapore,which offers its services to companies in the Pacific Rim, is the latest branch of theorganization to be established. The advice they offer can be broken down into threeareas.2.What ever size your company is, the basic lessons are the same.
