Nowadays, as the economy is developing so rapidly, consumption has been a common phenomenon in our lives. It is quite convenient and safe for people to use credit cards. Banks are growingly paying their attention to students on campus and laying out various policies to cater for students’need. Different people have different opinions on whether students should apply for a credit card .
On the one hand, credit cards really benefit students a lot. First, college students usually live in schools and they can’t go home as frequently as before. So credit cards are a good choice for them to pay their tuition fees and daily expenses. It’s more convenient and safer than pocketing a large sum of money. Second, using credit cards is a good way to teach students to improve their ability in managing their money and form good habit in consuming. For instance, students who receive their pocket money at the beginning of the month have to make a plan to spend their money before they consume with the credit cards, so that they will not suffer from lacking of money at the end of the month. What’s more, the overdrawing function of the credit cards provides a chance for those students who cannot afford their tuition fees to continue to receive their education.
On the other hand, credit cards also bring some negative effects on college student. First of all, some students overdraw their money from their credit cards to buy luxurious and unnecessary things, especially in online shopping. Due to students can’t make a living, their overdraft will increase their parents’financial burden. In the next place, for their own profits, bankers set traps attracting students to overspend, even lowering their credit. Last but not least, the credit card cheating happens more and more often. Students are kind and innocent that con artists always shoot at them.
In my opinion, I think the advantages of credit card outweigh its advantages. It’s necessary for students to use credit cards, Besides, they should also be taught to use it properly and form a correct notion of consume. Only in this way, can they enjoy the benefits of credit cards.。
