I写法指导
(新闻)媒体报道涉及的范围比较广,话题也比较多,一般指一个大事件或突发事件。
其话题包括business, celebrity(名人),economy, fashion, politics, sports, international affairs(国际大事件),school life, culture, science,anecdote(趣闻轶事)等。
而对于高中学生涉及的媒体报道写作一般包括两类。
第一类,对学校开展的一次重大活动进行报道,并且多为娱乐、文体活动,如:学校校内或校际比赛、交流活动和校际学校访问活动等;校外拓展活动(郊游或志愿者活动);学校或班级举行的庆祝活动(教师节)等。
第二类,对一次特大自然灾害进行媒体报道,如:水灾、火灾、旱灾、地震等等。
(新闻)媒体报道是对新近发生的事件的报道,因此应注意以下事项:
1.内容安排:每则新闻在结构上一般包括:标题、导语、主体、背景和结语五部分。
因此,学校活动报道的内容应包括:标题(书信例外)、活动的目的、涉及的人员(参与人员和组织人员)、活动开展的时间和地点、活动开展过程及结果、报道者的评价或感受。
自然灾害报道的内容包括:标题、灾害发生的时间、地点、起因、经过(灾情及拯救过程的描述)和结果(灾害造成的重大损失和灾后安排等)以及结语。
主
体时态为一般过去时态。
2.语言特征:真、实、强、短、快、活。
即,语言要具体、准确、简明、通俗和生动。

3.灾难的发生(The occurrence of the disaster)
(1)An earthquake hit/ struck Y unnan province. 云南发生了一次地震或一次地震袭击了云南。
(2)An earthquake occurred in Yunnan province.
(3)The worst hurricane disaster of all time occurred on the 8th September of 1900 in Galveston, Texas.
Winds of 200 kilometers per hour and five meter high waves hit the city.
最严重的一次飓风灾害发生于1900年9月8日在德克萨斯洲的加尔维斯敦。

(4)An earthquake took place inYunnan province. 云南发生了一次地震。

(7)break out vi.爆发,突然发生
A big forest fire broke out in the southwest in Victoria Australia on October 2nd.
10月2日,澳大利亚的维多利亚西南部发生了一场森林大火。
The Second World War broke out in September 1939.1939年9月爆发了第二次世界大战。
注意:hit 和strike意思为袭击,是及物动词,可以用于主动和被动语态,后面直接接地点名词。
但是occur, happen和take place意思为“发生”,“erupt”和“break out”意思为“(突然)爆发”,都是不及物动词或动词短语,无被动形式,其后不能直接接地点名词。
若要表示发生在某地,则在地点名词前加相应的介词,如“in Y unnan province”.
(8)catch fire:着火(指自然着火,无被动结构)
be on fire:着火(指状态)
cause fire:起火(引起火灾)
set fire to sth. / set sth. on fire:(指人为的)放火,纵火
The store caught fire at 5:00 this morning, and it was on fire for nearly half an hour. Nobody knows what caused the fire or who set it on fire / set fire to it.
该商店在早上5点着火了,烧了近半个小时,没人知道是什么引起这场火灾,也不知道谁放了这把火。
4. 严重的后果/影响(Bad effects)

Nine people died and 54 were seriously/badly injured in the accident.事故中有九人死亡,54人重伤。

III Useful expressions of a travel experience
本话题主要包括五个方向的考点,其一是交通拥堵问题及其解决措施,或者谈论小汽车(私家车)的利弊,一般为议论文写作。
该话题写作思路为:总述交通拥堵现象—分析该现象产生的缘由—提出有效措施。
其二是介绍一处旅游景点或旅游城市的说明文(此处也可以参照描写某处地点、居住城市或旅游城市介绍)。
其三是以媒体报道、日记或周记的方式考查,集中在记录自己或与自己有关的一次旅行经历(2010年北京卷)。
该话题涉及以下相关信息:
1.旅行前的准备事项,如:路线查询,价格,天气情况查询,机票、车票预订,各种用品的准备;
2.旅行中的所见所闻及感受,交代乘坐的交通工具,出发与到达的时间,与谁一同前往,去过
的景区,沿途发生的令人印象深刻的事情(指路与问路、购物、特色美食等);
3.对本次旅行的感受、评价(交通状况、旅游发展或游客素养等)或谈论本次经历的收获(开阔眼界、增长知识、文化领悟、交际能力、合作能力、毅力得到锻炼等)。
其四是关于一次旅行的通知、注意事项说明、出国旅游人员的不文明现象及解决措施。
其五是向外国友人推荐旅行路线的建议信(2017年北京卷)。

On April 10 Xingguang High School organized a mountain climbing activity. Many students participated in it and had an enjoyable experience.
Having gathered at the playground early on April 10th, we got on the school bus. It took us about half an hour to get to the foot of Daqing Mountain, which was our start line of climbing. Then we began to climb. The fascinating scenery which was filled with varieties of green plants and strange rocks was so attractive that many of us students fell behind to enjoy it. However, the teachers and the tour guides encouraged us to hold on to our faith tightly(坚持信念). Eventually, we reached the top and looked down from the peak. It was the white clouds and misty view that left the deepest impression on us. The mountain climbing activity ended up with our singing along the way back to school.

A Big Forest Fire
A big forest fire broke out in the southwest in Victoria Australia on October 2nd. It caused many deaths and injuries.
Having lasted more than 4 weeks, the big fire was finally put out by thousands of firemen with the help of local people. About 80 people got injured and 19 lost their lives in the fire, which also caused at least a damage of 30,000,000 dollars. After a careful investigation, the fire, shocking the whole country, proved to be caused by a careless young man who threw away the stub after he finished smoking in the forest.
I hope people injured in the big fire will pick up. The man who caused the fire should be punished and everyone should be careful to avoid such kind of disaster.

Dear Tom,
How’s everything going with you? I’m writing to tell you an important thing happening in our school.
Last week a group of people from our Friendly School in U.S. paid a visit to our school. I was so lucky to be the interpreter to keep the guests company. I showed them around our school, during which they visited the modernized library and watched a wonderful concert. Both sides introduced the history and the latest development of their own school to each other and made a detailed plan for the future cooperation.

A Big Earthquake
On August 3, 2014, an earthquake struck /hit Ludian, Yunnan Province, which shocked the whole country.
None of the people there had experienced such a terrible earthquake like that before. The earthquake caused the death of more than 700 people and 9000 injuries in all. Many of the victims had no time to escape and were buried under the collapsed buildings and it also caused at least a loss of 30 million Yuan. Thousands of soldiers, doctors and volunteers as well as local people took part in the rescue. At the same time, food, drinking water, medicine and clothes were sent there immediately.
I think the people there are sure to overcome the natural disaster and their life will pick up.
