V. Teaching steps:
Step 1 Lead-in
1)Listen to an English song about body organs to wake up students’ears.
2)Show the student 1 picture and let them point the familiar words of organs
Step 2 Presentation
1)Show some pictures and lead to the new words of this lesson
2)Learn to make sentences with these words.
( give the students an example when necessary).
3)List What-questions and answer sentence patterns.
Ex:Phrases:medium build, medium height
Sentence:
a) What does he look like?
b) He is medium height and medium short.
c) He has short straight hair.
d) He has long curly hair.
Step 3 Listening
1) Present the students the questions before listening to the text.
2) Get the students to listen to the tape and then answer the following questions.
Step3 Pair-work
1)Show some stars’pictures and let students describe them according to hints .
2)Let students rope-play their dialogue
3)Describe their classmates
Step 4 Consolidation (competition)
1) Divide students into three groups to choose questions.
2)Four questions for students to answer and every question has its points, the group which gets the highest score will win. Step5 Summary
1) Go through the important points and difficult points of this lesson with the students once again.
2) Let students know that we should not judge a person only by his looks. We should make friends with kind and warm hearted people no matter he or she is beautiful or not.

1. Describe your parents and then draw a picture of them.
2. Write a description for your partner.
