我有一个忙碌的周末英语作文五句话过去式
I Had a Busy Weekend
The weekend flew by so quickly! I was bursting with excitement on Friday after school because I had so many fun activities planned. My mom picked me up and we rushed home to get ready for my best friend Samantha's birthday party.
Samantha turned 8 years old last Saturday. Her parents rented out a huge bounce house for the party and set it up in their backyard. When I arrived, I dropped off Samantha's present on the gift table - I got her a art supply case filled with colored pencils, markers, paints, and other crafty things since she loves drawing and painting. All of our friends from school were there too. We spent what felt like hours bouncing around like maniacs in the bounce house, burning off tons of energy. Samantha's mom had to practically drag us out when it was time for cake and ice cream! I was famished from all that bouncing. The birthday cake was enormous and decorated with bright purple icing - Samantha's favorite color. We all sang "Happy Birthday" at the top of our lungs as Samantha made a wish and blew out the candles. After devouring my slice of cake, I was feeling a serious sugar rush.
On Sunday morning, I woke up feeling groggy from my sugar crash. But I didn't have much time to lay around because my soccer game was at 10am. I quickly ate a bowl of cereal and got my gear on. My dad drove me to the soccer field. Our opponent was the Tigers team and they were undefeated so far this season. It was a tough match - they scored the first goal early on. But we didn't give up and managed to tie the game by halftime. During the second half, I stole the ball from one of their players and dribbled it all the way down the field before kicking it into the goal! My teammates mobbed me in a giant group hug. We ended up winning 2-1. I was completely exhausted but so proud of our big victory over the Tigers.
After my soccer game, we went to visit my grandparents who live a few towns over. My grandma made us a delicious Sunday lunch - her famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and biscuits. She always cooks enough to feed a small army! I stuffed myself until I could barely move. Then my grandpa and I went outside to shoot some baskets on the driveway hoop while my parents visited with my grandma. Grandpa has been playing basketball since he was my age and he's an impressive shooter. He gave me some pointers to help improve my form.
By Sunday evening, I was completely tuckered out from my jam-packed weekend. I took a nice long bath to relax and then snuggled into my cozy bed, reminiscing about all the wonderful weekend memories I just made. I couldn't wait to share them with my classmates on Monday morning. Weekends go by way too fast when you're having fun!。
