一、教学目标
1、能够熟练地听、说、认、读本课时的关于蔬菜的单词:tomato, potato, green beans, carrot;
2、能够掌握本节课新单词的单复数形式变化:tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, carrots;
3、能够熟练运用新句型:What are these? They are...
4、能够指导学生形成良好的饮食习惯。
二、学情分析
四年级学生活泼好动,喜欢直观形象思维,对表演、竞赛、游戏等特别感兴趣。而且他们接触英语已经有一年多时间,已具有初步的听说能力。本课时,学生将会学习关于蔬菜的单词:tomato, potato, green beans, carrot;还学习了描述不同的蔬菜,能够熟练运用句型What are these? They are...来表达自己。通过本节课的学习,学生能运用所学知识,描述自己各类蔬菜,并能进行简单的交际运用。
三、重点难点
1、重点:掌握单词:tomato, potato, green beans, carrot.

活动1【导入】Warming-up .
1. Greetings:
T: Hello, boys and girls. What’s the weather like today?
S1: It is sunny.
T: Is it warm?
S2: Yes, it is.
T: How are you today?
S3: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
T: I feel very happy. I’d like to sing a song. Would you like to sing with me?
Ss: Yes.
T: Let’s reading our learning aims together.
【设计意图】: 激发学生学习英语的兴趣,活跃课堂气氛,使学生迅速进入英语学习的状态。
2. Sing a song together:
T: Now, Let’s sing “Old Macdonald” together.
S1: OK.
T: Now, I’d like to ask you some questions. The first one is “Where are these ducks in this song?
S2: They are at the farm.
T: So, today we are going to learn the Unit 4 At the farm. And now, Let’s go back to Macdonald’s farm to have a look. Here comes the second question “Except animals, what can we see in this farm?”
Ss: Vegetables.
【设计意图】:利用歌曲引出本单元的主题和本节课的内容。
活动2【讲授】Let`s learn new words.
1.Learn to say the word: tomatoes
1) Show out a tomato and say: Look, what is this? Oh, this is a...
2) Show out a picture of tomatoes to teach the new word “tomatoes”.
3) Show out the word “tomorrow”and ask: How do you read this word?
Then call out S1 to read out the word.
4) T: Who can pronounce the letters “to”?
S1: [tə].
5) T: So our new word we should pronounce “tomato” with [təma:təu].
6)Learn to say the word “tomatoes”after teacher.
【设计意图】:通过实物和多媒体呈现西红柿的图片,让学生认识新单词并掌握其单复数形式变化,激发学生的学习兴趣。
2.Learn to spell the word: tomatoes
1) Show out the card and say: Look, they’re tomatoes.
3)Write the new word after teacher with figures
4)Drill the word.
【设计意图】:利用自然拼读法并结合学生会读的单词进行教学,学生容易接受,激发其求知欲。
3.Learn to say the word: potatoes
1)Show out a riddle of “potato”and ask: Who can tell me the answer. Then call out S1 to
say out the word.
2)Show a card of “potato”.
3)Guide students to pronounce the word according to the pronunciation of “tomato”.
4)Show out another picture of “potatoes”and say: Look, they’re potatoes.
5)Write the new word after teacher with figures.
【设计意图】:利用谜语引出新单词,激发学生学习兴趣。利用多媒体和卡片两种方式呈现马铃薯的单复数形式进行对比教学,使学生印象更为深刻。
4.Learn to say the word: green beans
1)Show out the picture of green beans and ask: What color are they?
Ss: green.
2)Teach the word “bean” and guide student to say out the spelling of green beans.
3)Write the new word on the blackboard.
4)Learn to say the word “green beans”after teacher.
5)Drill the word.

5.Learn to say the word: carrots
1)Show out a riddle of “carrot”and ask: Who can tell me the answer? Then call S1 to say
out the word.
2)Show a card of “carrots”.
3)Show out another picture of “carrots”and say: Look, they’re carrots.
Write the new word after teacher with figures.
4)Write the new word on the blackboard.
5)Then drill the word.
