(第四课时教学设计)
一、教材分析
1.教学内容
本课时系教材本课时系教材《英语基础教程》(1)第五单元的第四课时,包括Vocabulary practice和Supplementary reading,具体内容为:复习巩固本单元所学单词和短语;完成拓展阅读。
2.教学重点、难点
⑴教学重点
复习巩固本单元所学单词和短语。
⑵教学难点
引导学生学会自我总结的方法。
二、教学目标
1.知识目标
⑴复习巩固本单元所学单词和短语。
⑵完成拓展阅读。
2.能力目标
(1)引导学生学会自我归纳总结的方法。
(2)熟练拼写重点词汇。
3.情感目标
潜移默化体会爱好的好处。
三、教学步骤
Step One Revision
V ocabulary contest Brainstorm the hobbies that students knew. 4-6 students a group, write down the words or phrases about hobbies in English, one word or phrase only write down on a piece of small paper.
T: Do you have any hobbies?
What hobbies will you take up later?
(设计意图:通过这一活动能帮助学生对于本单元重点词汇和短语进行一个全面的复习并能检查的掌握情况。
通过小组之间比赛,激发学生的参与热情。
)
Step Two Vocabulary practice
Have the students write the Chinese meaning of these words and phrases on the back of paper.
V ocabulary contest: Students choose one paper one by one in groups, read Chinese say English or read English say Chinese.
Complete Activity 14 and Activity 15,then check the answer.
Ask some students make sentences according to the words and phrases.
(设计意图:通过在纸片后面写上汉语,起到复习的作用;像扑克牌一样,学生抽取纸片说单词或短语,比一比哪个说得正确、迅速,做到人人过关;造句,让学生进一步去应用这些单词和词组。
)
Activity 16 Read and complete,then check the answer.
Step Three Supplementary reading
Pre-reading: Can you talk about the advantages of the hobbies?
While-reading:
1. T: Now we will read a passage about hobbies, read the first paragraph and underline the sentences about the advantages of the hobbies.
2. Skimming: skim the paragraph and answer the questions.
What’s the use of hobbies?

What will the county library provide?

3. Scanning: scan the paragraph and judge the sentences.
There’re some articles about how hobbies reduce stress, help keep your brain active.
People can have fun and start up a new hobby at the county library.
People can find something that is suitable for them at the county library.
Everyone can win a present at the county library.
Post reading:

Step Four Summary
Make a short summary of what we’ve learned today.
(1)Revise vocabulary and phrases:play the violin,build model cars,watching
micro-courses online,hang out with friends,shop online,collect
stamps,roller skating,bungee,photography,take photos, compose,
gardening,growing plants,collect shells, play tennis, update
comments, practice driving cars, take photos of flowers
(2) New vocabulary and phrases: be good for, reduce stress, keep your brain active, a
bunch of, be filled with, drop by, start up, take part in
Step Five Homework
1. Complete the part “Translation” in the workbook.
2. Prepare the test.
