High School Graduation Speech
Wow, a high school graduation speech! That is so cool. I can't wait until I'm old enough to go to high school. My big
brother Greg just graduated from high school last week. He had to give a big speech in front of his whole class, the teachers, and all our family members. I got to go watch him and it was really exciting!
Greg looked so grown up in his blue cap and gown. He had to march in with all his classmates and then they sat down in the front rows. The principal and some teachers talked for a while first. Then it was time for the student speakers. Greg was one of them since he had really good grades.
When Greg went up to the microphone, he looked nervous at first. But then he started speaking and it was like he was a whole different person! His voice sounded so confident and mature. I could barely recognize my goofy older brother.
Greg's speech was all about the journey they went on over the past four years of high school. He talked about how they started off as immature freshmen, getting lost in the hallways and struggling with harder classes. But eventually they grew into young adults,ready to take on more responsibilities.
He said high school taught them perseverance to keep going when things got tough. It also showed them the importance of good friends who motivate and support you. Most
importantly, Greg said high school prepared them for the independence of college or career.
