Write a letter to Sue and tell her what’s the relationship between you and your friends.If there is something wrong,ask for her advise.

Step 2:Presentation
1.Teacher shows the word cards and each card with a picture stands for the word we are going to learn:figure,directly, misunderstanding.Ask the students come to the front to touch the right card when you read a word and then explain the meanings and the usages of these words.Make sentences with the words and explain the meanings.
2.Give the studentsfive minutes to remember the words. And then the teacher pick out one of them.Let students spell and read them one by one.
3.The students readthe text by themselves.Give the students several minutes to remember the text,then find out the main phrases and sentences in the text.

Step 1:Warming up
T:Do you have any problems between you and your friends?
Ss:Yes,I do.
设计意图:学生反复听磁带并跟读。第一次听,要求学生大概理解文章的意思。第二次听,改为一句一句听,仔细听出每句话的内容。第三次听,完成上面的问题。通过反复听磁带并跟读培养他们的听、说能力。
2.Practice.
Do Exercise 3 on Page 135.
设计意图:锻炼学生的思考能力,同时培养学生的语感。
T:If you have a problem with a friend,what do you usually do?
Ss:If it’s myfault,I usually say sorry to her/him,but if it isn’t my fault,I won’t talk to her until she apologizes to me.
设计意图:教师以游戏的形式学习新单词并单个记忆,学生记得快。能调动他们的学习热情。
4.Read the lesson again and answer the questions.
(I)What has happened to the Lost Girl?
(2)What are Sue’s suggestions if a friend wants to end the friendship?
T:OK,I advise you notto be so strict.Friends shouldn’t be like this.You should have a good talk and try to solve the problems.
